1753.
John Harrison paid Land Tax of 10/-

1844
Hollins was noted as being occupied by Stephen Heap at a rent of more than £50 per annum in an electoral roll of 1844. Same tenant noted in 1835/1837 and 1841 electoral rolls.

1857
Barrett’s directory notes Hollins as the address of John Shutt. John Shutt noted as tenant in 1848 and 1859 electoral rolls.

1871 census.
William Parker noted as farm servant aged 29.

1851 census
Farmed by Richard and William Shutt.

1712.
When Cowpasture Farm was sold in 1712 included in the sale was the right to get lime from Kiln field at Hollins. This will be quarry below Dark Hill.
