The very last helping of veggies from last week for breakfast, then a salad butty from Amanda's for lunch and a pick of the chicken for tea. Today I shall get stuck into this week's veggies!

I often wonder how much my diet of home cooked food starting from raw natural ingredients has to do with my health. Apart from my right knee, cancer and type 2 Diabetes I am in good health. How many men my age look after themselves like I do? (I say 'men' because women are more likely to manage these tasks because they have been doing them for the family all their lives.
I think the key is natural raw ingredients cooked from scratch. At all costs avoid any food that has been processed industrially with only a few exceptions like baked beans and canned vegetables, fish and fruit.Ready meals and take-aways never, except of course for fish and chips or meat pies, I'll allow them.....
So yes, yesterday I had meat and veggies X three and I am going to live for ever!

After a relatively long drive to Southampton (six and a half hours to do 265 miles), we're having a bit of tea at the Macdonald Botley Park Hotel.
Not the cheapest but hey ho, we're on holiday :good:

I hope all goes well.... It's settled weather so the signs are that you will have a smooth trip.
I had last week's meat and veggies X three. Today I have one helping left for breakfast and later we start on the new batch. I have some mince delivered yesterday. It's marinading at room temperature and later this morning after second sleep I shall cook savoury mince.

Pimms by the pool, really lucky with the weather so far. We're booked into The Beach House, on the P&O Aurora for tea today. Lots of interesting dishes on the menu so we've not decided what we're having yet.
