Ann, my hubby is a 'southener' too ( Essex). We stayed at a self contained cottage at Foulridge a few years ago, which was lovely ( though I suspect haunted)...but if B&B is more to your taste it would not suit. We are not B&B types, being slightly anti-social and happy with our own company ...

I get 'ratted off' with cooking quite regularly.
Sometimes I wish it would just appear on the plate. And sometimes I would just like a surprise.

I've done a bit of everything today. Cleaned the house, washing, and a bit of Ancestry....then weeded the front garden and planted two Rose Bushes, and sprayed the driveway for weeds coming up between the pavers. Also transplanted some Baby Mondo Grasses that I had divided and potted some weeks ago ...
