Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
I think if you were to measure equidistantly from cobblers, sock tops would be at different levels?

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Wendy, I catch 'River Cottage' whenever I can. (I imagine myself living that kind of lifestyle)
The simple life, and the joy of getting back to basics with food, and knowing where it comes from.
Ahhhh..that is the dream anyway. Don't even have room for a veg patch, though could go a few trugs.

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
Oh! ( sorry) Well I won't go off into side seams, middle seams, buttons, zips, hemlines and bum cheeks then. Actually, this all took me back to when I was in a children's home. One of the little girls there had a fanatical streak ( early signs of obsessive compulsive disorder I think, though at the ...

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
A black marble pastry roller? Difficult to tell as it just looks like a black rod, one foot long. About the nipple thing. I didn't explain myself very well. I meant the level could be used to make sure nipples were level within the freshly levelled vest. Nothing looks worse than a skewiff vest, with...

CHIPS, Stanley?
( can't remember the last time I ate chips...they are not part of my dietary regime...but I have given up being shocked by your Chip intake...so do enjoy!) Though on second thought, if the burial fund is a bit on the low side after being raided, perhaps ease up on the Chips?

Re: Oh dear!
See how I go Stanley. I shall give it a bit more time. The login at the bottom of the board page seems to work for me ( yes...iPad) Haven't spent a lot of time on the computer ( someone...won't mention WHO...tends to hog the Internet on his days off), but I can't recall having the problem on there. ...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Well Welcome Back BB. It was simply your zest for freshness that had me making the connection. I was interested in what you had to say back then, and still am. ( and I envy you having an allotment. Am currently bending hubby's ear about a small veg patch in the back yard.)

Re: Oh dear!
(well this is my second time to post this one as well! )
It logs me out as I type. I find that if I log in at the top it logs me out as I type, but if I log in at the bottom of the board page, I tend to get kept.
Grrrrrrr....

Maybe I should just quietly break the seal on those little blue pills with the white stripe then.

Re: Oh dear!
( here I go a second time with this post. annoyingly, site logs me out mid post, and I am getting pretty sick of it) What I was going to say ( and maybe WILL get to this time!) is that I am not afraid of change, Stanley. But I ( for one) DO miss the feel of the old site...the friendliness, the intim...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Have just finished making the salad for tonight. So three quarters of our small plates will be Salad ( containing...lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red capsicum, green capsicum, red onion, sweet corn kernels, grated carrot, and some butterfly pasta). To be served with a hard boiled egg each, and...

Re: SPRING 2012
Perfect day here. Blue skies, sunshine, 28 degrees.
We didn't expect these extra couple of days respite from the intense heat, which should have returned by the weekend. At least I got to trim a few straggling plants in the garden and Mr. Feb has run about with the lawnmower.

Busy bees, are you 'Allotment Girl' from the old OGFB site? Same philosophies, just wondering. And I do applaud you for your healthy approach to living. I used to cook big meals and feed crowds, but the offspring have left home now...we find we need fewer and fewer calories as weight tends to creep ...

Re: WE ARE WHAT WE EAT
I think there is more to Vitamin D deficiency than generally noted. My Vitamin D deficiency persists despite living in one of the sunniest places on earth, drinking full cream milk, and taking Vitamin D supplement. It has me stumped.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Very amusing. I was in the mood for faffing about, so I made a Frittata with the Salmon. (must say the Salmon was excellent quality...some of it didn't actually make it into the Frittata!). Also made a Potato Salad. We are still about 2 hours from the Master arriving home from work, so will make a f...

Re: Superstore developments
I have actually found SuperStore type complexes quite handy as a traveller too. Free parking ( generally...though there may be a time limit) and everything is so convenient. Sure, it is nice to 'walk to the local' whenever it was possible, but as a visitor it is not always possible to suss out the n...

Re: 2012 London Olympics
Exactly Whyperion, many of the spectators who come from afar WILL venture further afield than just London and make a holiday of it. Those short on time will probably settle for the major tourist attractions ( bus tours to Stonehendge and Bath etc) but there will be plenty who are more intrepid. Tour...
