Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

Got it WENDY.
I am signing off.
Bye.
Good luck...you are gonna need it and could likely do with friends, but I am sick of facing Stanley’s boxing gloves every morning.
Listen to what the world is saying, for heaven’s sake...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

Trippy...if it is a machine made fabric mask that you wear for 30 mins a week to pop out to the shops, then wash it, you are totally safe my friend.

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

Cruise passengers are unlikely to belong to us, but if they are they will be bagged and tagged as per our strict code. ( which...up until this point...you have to admit...has been stricter than yours) they will be tested, tracked, isolated... I am just so sick of the snide remarks. ( when I read on ...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

Yeeha! We have only 2 new cases in South Australia today and no deaths recorded.
Do a victory punch for TESTING, TRACKING and ISOLATION techniques...( and fining those not following personal space rules)
Yeeha!
Now...tell us we are talking shit, Stanley!

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

I have had such a wonderful day, compared to you, Sue. An early start ( due to daylight savings ending today). Coffee AND toast in bed ( haven’t had toast in bed for about 20 years!) A lovely walk in beautiful sunshine today. A rather intriguing Midday Movie ( more hubby’s style than mine). Strongly...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

Data suggests the disease lasts approx 2 weeks for mild cases, and 3 - 6 weeks for those with severe or critical cases.
(And yes...we do quarantine for 2 weeks post recovery from symptoms).
One of the more lingering symptoms is fatigue.

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

Susan and Mick will have to continue self isolation for 2 full weeks after they recover...so I would suggest you make your own arrangements that suit yourself, Stanley. You can’t help them and they can’t help you for the foreseeable. It’s the nature of the beast I am afraid. (Actually, I think you l...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

Really...
Read my second comment saying they are “Children spreading joy”.
Who has the problem here?
I gave BOTH explanations.

I had a beautiful rainbow on the back window of my mini in the early 80s. My little boy loved it. It meant nothing but joy back then.

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

We have one chemist in town (out of about 5 that I know of) that will deliver for free. Our usual scripts/whatever are usually done at another chemist though. My hubby has a script that can only be legally be filled every 28 days ( strict heart medication, a serious anti-coagulant on steroids!) so w...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

We have on-the-spot $1000 fines for people caught not social distancing. I do wish they would drive down my street today as they would get quite a haul. We walked past one house (occupied by school teachers who should know better !), and noticed 5 or 6 cars parked on their front lawn. (Oooo...having...

Re: HOUSEHOLD TIPS NOT FOUND IN WOMAN'S WEEKLY

Grandchildren is an excellent time to give up. Unfortunately, neither Cazza and I have grandchildren.
My only child doesn’t ever want kids, so I will never be a grandparent.
I still hold out hope for Cazza.
( but I still maintain you have to give up smoking for YOURSELF)

Re: HOUSEHOLD TIPS NOT FOUND IN WOMAN'S WEEKLY

I was group clapped by staff at the hospital when I ruptured my disc. They gathered round my bed and clapped. ( very unnecessary as I felt like total crap at the time...I felt like I was in some odd, mind bending space when they did that) I just stared back and thought “are you lot for real”! Cazza ...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Gardens around us are looking well tended just now. So it is quite pleasant out walking. My problem is...where do you go...what do you do...if you have had “words” with your partner? It happens, and it is harder when you are both stuck. We are lucky. We have a big house and garden and plenty of spac...
