Re: OBITUARIES

I liked Catgate! He had a wonderful sense of the ridiculous and he made me laugh...one of those people who approached life from a sideways angle AND made me rethink some things. I didn't find him offensive at all.

She cannot stand the smell of Beer or toothpaste though, and will not come for a cuddle if you have either just drank a beer or cleaned your teeth. For both of those, she sneezes and turns away.

My son's Labrador LOVES Pizza. The word Pizza cannot even be spoken in the house without the dog doing loop the loop and going crazy. She knows! And she will knock you down to get it too!
She also loves Carrot, Cheese, Tomato and Apples.
She loves hot chips too...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

I'm in a pickle...someone may be able to help with an idea or recipe ( hopefully) I purchased 200g of Sliced Corn Beef today - haven't tasted Corned Beef for over 40 years - but there it was behind the glass in the butcher section looking ever so nice and fresh. I instantly thought I could chop it a...

Updated tip Liz...a bit of Ginger in the Sauce adds another warming dimension. We had dinner with friends in Townsville on our "outback tour" and she added Ginger. Wow...(wonderful)...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

I have the tiniest chunk taken out of my knuckle when opening the door of a shop the other day. Do you think it will grow over and heal? No...it remains a raw wound and catches on everything. Sticking plasters annoy me. I need the air to get to it for it to heal ( meanwhile...everything else on eart...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

I always cringe when I see folk "seasoning" their meat (salt and pepper) before cooking. The old adage SALT TOUGHENS PROTEIN springs into my head every time. Add your salt afterwards if you must have it. I made Spicy Thai Prawn Noodles last night. It had Piri Piri, Ginger and Chinese 5 Spice in it. ...

Re: FORGOTTEN CORNERS

Funnily enough, we met a man yesterday for the first time and the first thing I noted about him was his strange/repetitive mannerisms. He kept checking his fly and adjusting his belt and gently stroking himself all over his belly and chest as he spoke. He didn't leave himself alone for a moment. He ...

Re: FORGOTTEN CORNERS

It is great that you have rosy glows about the folk you entrusted with your kids...but did you ever have the chat with your kids about what to do if they ever felt uncomfortable, or had a funny feeling in their tummy about someone, or where it was appropriate on their body to feel someone else touch...

I live in an area like that too, Plaques. Everyone says a genuine "Good Morning/Good Afternoon". If you haven't seen a regular for some time, you stop and chat. Whilst neighbours don't live in our pockets, we nod Hello, and inform each other if we are going on holidays. We have been mowing one neigh...

Off to Tasmania next month for about 10 days. Taking the Campervan over and back on the overnight ferry (we will have a cabin overnight). Insurance claims are slow to process - at present our van still has a shattered windscreen from our last trip, and due to cold nights/warm days the cracks have ex...

Well here is one you didn't think of :smart: for tastier Pasta, cook it in appropriately flavoured stock. That way, flavour is intensified when you add the Pasta to the final dish.
( you will not find this hint anywhere :devil3: it's a Maz-hint...private like...just for friends :biggrin2: )
