Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

FaceTime is great fun. ( I recall suggesting it to you when your daughter was ill...but you said you preferred WhatsAp at the time). I FaceTime my son a lot.

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS

I don't think it is such a bad thing. Keeps you fit and warm. It is repetitive, so you can just ZEN out and think your own thoughts. And you will sleep better for it.

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Sounds like you will be very comfortable. We have a solar panel on the roof, so can go "off grid" for a couple of nights or however long we choose if the sun is shining. We can last as long as our water supply. I bought a wind up radio - handy to have if there is some sort of extreme event and one n...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

We haven't been away in our van for 9 months, because I had been in too much pain to imagine trying to climb in or out, or sleep in the narrow bed...but I was fine last weekend. I still don't know how I will go travelling thousands of kilometres soon, but I have made hubby promise we will not drive ...

Hope you have an inflatable air mattress and are not sleeping on the ground. I mean...we are all strong people...but no need to walk like John Wayne in the mornings unless absolutely necessary :laugh5:

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

I was given a huge bag of Lemons today on our walk. Very grateful.... :biggrin2: ...looking for recipes suitable for Diabetics to use them up. Must use them by next week, as we cannot take fresh fruit or veg over the border interstate ( unless cooked or frozen).

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

I should add, they are not simply hung up. Elastic straps with velcro ends are screwed to the wall in an X configuration. Possibly I should have taken a pic of the straps, as it might explain things better. Just hold the helmet there, stretch the straps around and velcro. Snug on the wall and cannot...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

I took pics of our bike helmet storage solution ( they were taking up valuable space in a cupboard). Our high-vis riding vests fit inside the helmets, so I killed two storage problems. I'm very happy with the solution.
Pics sent to Stanley for posting.

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Power sockets here must be at least 1 metre from any water source. Having said that, I have a double power point directly over my loo. It's the one I plug my hair dryer into. I always shut the toilet lid...just in case.

:biggrin2: you hate rattles too, Stanley? Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

A cold but sunny morning (2C). At least there is no wind and it is actually quite pleasant, though I doubt the washing will dry fully on the line. I might have to finish it off with 10 mins in the dryer. Cooking, cleaning, washing today, with half a critical eye on what is piling up on the dining ta...

Going through the van, checking stocks of non perishable items ( cling wrap, foil, dishwashing liquid, washing powder etc) and removing all non essential items that we will not need on our big trip North East. Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

We too have had a normal Winter, except for the four blasts of weather coming up from Antarctica, causing a lot of snow in places. I have known "cold winters" like this, but not since I was a kid...and another really cold Winter when my son was a toddler/pre schooler and I was constantly looking for...

Re: HOUSEHOLD TIPS NOT FOUND IN WOMAN'S WEEKLY

Not all folk "accept" being "trained", Stanley. Sometimes, you just have to love 'em the way they are. If you can get your message across about the important things ( like...put the milk back in the fridge...and don't wipe your fish gutting knife on the kitchen tea towel...and wrap the cheese back u...
