Yes and I’m glad that things improved for Margaret because it means that things weren’t quite as bad (hopefully a lot better) for my Grandmother’s. But like all generations, just different problems I guess.

A very tough time and Margaret (1) thought all women had that sort of life, very sad.
I’m really hoping that she got to see better times.
I’d be interested to know how old she was when she died.

👍 Finally got the pluming fixed yesterday afternoon. Even tho it was the laundry that flooded, the problem was a blocked drain in the bathroom. He also did the vanity taps, one was slowly dripping and he fixed the kitchen taps, one was noisy and shuddered . Ah I do love a Tradesman. All good to go n...

Can anyone explain why Iron Cords are the way they are. They curl and just do their own thing basically, all very annoying when trying to control them and pack them away when storing.
Why aren’t they like ‘normal’ appliance cords ?

I’m hoping it could turn out to be a blocked drain. The Landlady said possible burst pipe because it has happened here before , but that was outside. This place is 30 years, I’ve been here a good 16 years , it’s about time a Plumber checked the pipes. Hopefully one will contact me tomorrow.
