Re: Query for the old B&W film experts.
Well ..... after a long chase I eventually found it....in its entirety.
Thanks Kev.
Well worth the effort, and it is surprising how much my memory has remembered (but in a slightly different order).
It must be one of the best of the oldies.

Re: Query for the old B&W film experts.
Well I found the second reel on Youtube, but no sign of the first, and best, part.
There seems to have been another film in 1924, with W C Fields, in it with the same title. Very odd. It's also very odd that they had to have W C Field when we had public lavatories.

Query for the old B&W film experts.
I am looking for the name of a black and white silent film, which I first saw on an uncles Pathe Baby 9.5 mm. projector some time in the Early '40s. I then saw it again, many years after, on TV, at a time when there was only BBC and ITV. It seems to me to be one of Mack Sennet's master pieces, but j...

Re: Lies, damned lies and statistics
There's a letter in Saga Magazine pointing out that the Office for National Statistics mis-uses statistics when it claims that older couple are becoming more likely to divorce than young couples. The letter says how older couples are more likely to be married whereas many young couples are unmarrie...

This is a very serious appeal for help on behalf of a very well known charity who in this particular instance feels it best if they are not named, for reasons of anonymity, so we will just call them X. The reason that this route of "funding" has cropped up is due to the now well establishe...
