Re: MEDICAL MATTERS
Last night I made an attempt to explain my medical condition but fell into what Stanley would say " the Gods are against me". no sooner had I hit the send button the laptop went into melt down. Everything crashed the only thing left was the dilemma at to which window to throw it out off. B...

Its been said many times the cost of living that the right-wing press are pushing is the CPI cost of living. stuff that has a CPI element to its measure. These have dropped fractionally from 6.7% to 4.6% this means as we all know prices are still rising on top of what went before. What good old Jere...

I think it's becoming obvious that Israel will ignore any call for a ceasefire. The great and the good big powers can't do a thing about it. We want you to stop killing people. Sod off we are at war and there's nothing you can do and America is on our side. Suddenly countries and people will realise...

A lot of fuss is being made whether parades should be held in support of Palestine during the period of Armistice day November 11. or Remembrance Sunday two weeks later. The argument goes it would be an injustice to the memory of those who lost their lives during the two world wars. The strange thin...

In his witness statement, he said Mr Hancock thought he, not doctors or the public, should decide who to prioritise if hospitals became overwhelmed. Sir Simon said: "Fortunately this horrible dilemma never crystallised." So already we have AL Boris Johnson and AL Matt Hancock deciding if ...

Re: Seen in the News
I see that the leaders of Burnley and Pendle Councils are 'calling for' the resignation of the leader of the Labour party Keir Starmer, for failing to 'call for' a cease fire in Gaza. Ceasefires are similar to a peace treatise. The two sides only enter into them when both sides know the can't win. ...

Domestic Cleaner Required.
Help Required. Sometimes its prudent to ask for help before you collapse under the tasks ahead. In my case my health and hospital appointment are putting an increasing load on Mrs P. We are looking for someone to do some light domestic cleaning for us at times and rates that can fit within normal ho...

Why I remembered this I'll never know. It would probably be banned from the BBC immediately but went down well at the Carton Club in Burnley some years ago.

Re: Old fashioned clean jokes
This is not a joke. Over the last few months I've lost about 20 lb. Finished up at 141 lb. Eyes sunk, face drawn with no cheeks, looked absolutely terrible, (still do). My doctor came to see me. I commented on how I would appear to other people. Never mind you'll be OK for Halloween.

Perhaps what confuses the issue is that 'Hamas' is an elected government of the Palestinians. Its foundation is basically religious and starting as a charity which moved to politics with a military wing with the right to protect its own country. In some respects its no different to the Israel govern...

I thought I would buy some thin plastic sheet to protect the lower wall paper for when the plasterer man arrives. £1 per sheet from Screwfix. Tried to order 10 sheets. John Campbell, a YouTuber whose posts get millions of views, has made claims about excess deaths and the covid-19 vaccine. We show why he's incorrect I have always thought that this study was faulty. It was done by some 'Unknown' person who compared those who were vaccinated against those who weren...

All this huffing and puffing about HS2 makes me think that the decision to delay has already been made but is being used as a smokescreen as to why they can't pay the doctors / nurses etc the wages they deserve. I have used bleach to kill the moss on the drive but most supermarket bleaches are below 2% which is useless for the task. The thick bleaches are the same strength as the thin bleaches but with a thickening agent but equally useless.
