Re. the scissors - they cannot cut when screw is tightened but a child could soon tighten it.

Our glass is 29.4 - rain has stopped and wind has dropped (Poetry!!) but it is very cloudy. Forecast of frost tonight - I saw some people with a trolley load of bedding plants at B & Q, hope they have somewhere to keep them warm.

Today I shall be working on my family tree, I have been contacted by a distant relative who has news on another branch, love to get info. from people who have verified it.

There used to be a brand of wool called Wendy Wool. I found a small pair of scissors in my mum's sewing box many years ago which have a screw which when turned keeps the blades apart - any idea what they would be used for?
