Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

I shall be in the shed wobbling and then after second sleep I shall cook my veggies for next week. I cooked my red cabbage yesterday because one thing I have learned is that red cabbage is an outlier, it needs cooking separately form the other veggies because of the colour and it is an entirely diff...

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS

Well have got the vaccine but not the rest of the kit for using it. (Whatever that is) Susan had bad luck and got an ear infection. They are over on the East Coast at the moment and she had to find an Urgent Care Centre. She waited 5 hours yesterday but came out with a prescription for the ABs that ...

Re: Miscellaneous DIY Projects (or bits of jobs)

My neighbour Ian made me a new back gate from scratch as the old one was rotten as a pear. He used hardwood but it must have been kiln dried as it warped over the winter. I need to do a bit of work on the latch as soon as the Wobbler panic is finished in the shed..... :biggrin2:
Gate look good Ian!

Advertising copy-writers have much to answer for. These changes come as they struggle to find ways to make the products they are selling more exciting. A tactical flash lamp is more attractive than a boring normal one..... I have noticed a new class of rip-off selling, the 'tactical' mini telescopic...

THIS is what counts as political news this morning. The government is "gaslighting" the British people over the state of the economy, the Opposition is to argue. Shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves will tell business leaders in a speech on Tuesday the government's claims its economic plan is ...

Glad you got sorted Ian. You were lucky with the cover on the gazebo Kev. I went looking for the etymology of 'gazebo' and didn't really get any joy but I tripped over this factoid. "The earliest known gazebos were in Egyptian gardens approximately 5,000 years ago, found in a garden plan which ...

Yesterday afternoon we had the obligatory spatters of rain after some nice sunshine but as the lads say, no thunder. At 20:00 it was calm, mild and overcast but dry. This morning it's the same. The glass has jumped up to 1015mb and the forecast is for an overcast but dry day. The easterly winds will...
