Re: BOB'S BITS

You pays your ticket and you gets your choice. We shall overcome because the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice.   The Rev’d Martin Luther King, Jr., speaking at the National Cathedral, March 1968.     Thus MLK echoed the words of the Rev’d Theodore Parker.  Most say that ...

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER

Misty start first thing but since then full sun. I have had a short walk and a sit on traffic duty but that wind spoils it!
Things could be worse, at least it's dry. :biggrin2:

Morning Sue! That sounds like a good day, I'm glad you didn't mention the 'visitors' in the loft. That signals to me that they aren't spoiling your visit! You have got out of the country at the right time, starting tomorrow we are back into winter for a few days! https://www.oneguyfrombarlick.co.uk/...

See THIS for a small but important detail that all the parties seem to be ignoring at the moment. European retailers are rushing to place their Christmas orders early as soaring shipping costs and trade route disruption threaten holiday deliveries, experts say. For the last few months, vessels belon...

THIS residual matter from Brexit hasn't gone away.... The Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) leader has brought the Irish Sea border into the centre of Northern Ireland’s election campaign. That internal trade border exists as a result of the UK’s 2019 Brexit deal with the EU. It has been modified, si...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

I cooked my belly pork and augmented the veggies in the fridge with the results. It was done in time for a bit to go in my dinner and tea hot meals and is very good, a lovely additional taste! If you aren't put off by a bit of fat, belly pork is such good value and very nutritious! I recommend it to...

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER

Unfortunately not Kev. Next week we are into the heating season again! Sorry. :biggrin2: Yesterday was as per the forecast, it was overcast by late morning and we got late sun to end the day. At 20:00 we had full sun coming in under the broken overcast that was building. This morning it's calm clear...

Perhaps someone has realised what an insult it is to charge for the sort of service that Ian has had......
(Although that is so out of character with the way things are managed nowadays that I doubt it!)
