Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

We ate out twice in Leeds yesterday. Lunch before the theatre at a small Italian cafe about 100 yards down from the theatre. I had a chicken, bacon and mayo sandwich which arrived as a Panini variant on home made Focaccia, very tasty. Christmas Market with lots of food vendors was running in City Sq...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

An excellent production of Miss Saigon. The cast and scenery was exceptional, the cast actually did all the scene moving there were three cubical scenery blocks across the back that could be pulled out and rotated to give the various scenes and two staircases kept in the wings and used when required...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

I had to look up a coin I found in one of our collection tubs, It went through our coin counter as a 50p as it is exactly the same size but without corners so to speak. It's a 50 Forint which I have never come across before, turns out it's Hungarian and worth about £0.12 pounds sterling. No good to ...

Re: LIGHTS IN THE SKY 2025

I feel better now I have a topic dated 2025. Perhaps the better course would be to alter the title by omitting the year altogether and just calling it Lights in the Sky? Ha ha, you did it with the seasons so why not do away with the years as well. Easy enough to do just like a stroke of the pen. :e...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

Sorry to hear your cards were compromised Ian. The bank's attitude sounds lax to say the least! I hope you get a full refund. It was just my card for our joint account. I have cancelled it and asked for a new one. Still on with it with the bank, cant do what I want online (multiple disputes) and th...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

All sorted three quarters of an hour ago. Bill slightly less than estimate and an excellent job from my joiner Alan. He has also moved the house number from the door to the right hand side door jamb. Will get back to the bank now to cancel our current cards for out joint account. We noticed three se...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

Getting a new front door installed, modern composite job, red for the use of outside and white on the inside. Our old wooden door was on the house when we bought it and that was around 1988 so probably older than that. New door and frame is in, Alan my joiner has said its down to the faffing about s...

Re: Seen in the News

Its flim-flam as Russia wont settle on anything less than keeping the territory they have already stolen plus some other bits they haven't. There is a simple answer to this war that Russia instigated, they could just stop fighting and withdraw but again that will not happen as they don't recognise U...

Re: Seen in the News

Why should he show gratitude to Trump for giving away Ukrainian territory that is not his to give. I firmly believe that Trump is actually deranged and not fit for office, he seems to have developed a God complex and should be sectioned on his actions alone.

Re: Seen in the News

I don't care who it is but how can a third party nation set draconian terms against a sovereign nation, including loss of territory and restrictions on their political system and what world organisations they are allowed to belong to? In my book that is an act of war in itself, the USA has not been ...

Just back from taking Sally to Skipton for the train to Stratford. She's going to see our Ruby for a couple of days. 17 now, at Sixth Form and learning to drive, where does time go?
