Wont let me do that either as it uses the same payment method. I thought I would ring them up so I might have chance to tell someone that their system is not working as it should. Silly me! Shoved all the info in asked for, MOT is valid, gave the reference number on the V11 reminder which pulled up the correct vehicle and what was due and selected the credit card I have used for the last few years a...

Aye, Sunak is about to roll the scare tactics out. Classic tactic to bolster the unfortunate believers and pick up a few more gullible and insecure folk who can't or wont think for themselves. Cleverer folk would have a war which has happened in the past.

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

We are currently at the peak of the latest 11 year solar cycle so events like last nights which is still going on are not uncommon. The media make a song and dance and roll out the superlatives because the majority of folk carry around in their pockets the means to photograph the phenomena. Some fab...

Re: Miscellaneous DIY Projects (or bits of jobs)

Thanks Stanley. Final hurdle turned into a marathon rather than a ten minute job. I got a replacement gate latch from Screwfix today, last one in stock. Same model as what came off, however, offering it up I saw a problem. The pin was not bent to the same degree as the original so consequently when ...

Re: Miscellaneous DIY Projects (or bits of jobs)

Kev has sorted me out Stanley, not took long, my marking up and Kevs slicing and its bob on for a fit apart from about an 1/8th of an inch on the top rail, I can cut that with my tenon saw. Hung it on two screws to check the fit as it has to come off again for the other bits of timber for the latch ...

Best laid plans an all that! Running off the guide line sawing straight down!

By power saw, do you mean a circular saw Stanley? If so that would be good I could run that on the front face from the bottom to the top and use the outer edge with the guide.

My Grandma and Granddad lived there at no 15 and my Aunt Margaret and Uncle Norman at no 17. Number 17 (nearest property) especially had a maze of cubby holes inside, probably remnants of previous builds.
