Very very slowly! Brown it off in frying pan, put in casserole dish with carrots, onions, mushrooms and anything else that is to hand. Salt, pepper and mixed herbs. Chicken stock to cook in then thicken with Bisto powder to hubby's taste.

Richard Bell lived at Bell's Farm, which is next to the old post office on the main road in Thornton. He was a renowned fast bowler in the local cricket league.
