Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

Dave “wasn’t hungry” tonight, so I toned down the salad I normally a to a Turkish Roll with Chicken. ( eg no beetroot, no tomato etc)...but it did the trick and he ate it all. ( He had Branston and Gherkins in his, I didn’t). Anyway, dinner done, it was delicious. No dessert...we don’t “do” afters!

Re: POLITICS CORNER

It can’t be much fun in lockdown with too much time to watch the news either. I found I slept a lot better during our lockdown by banning all news broadcasts from lunchtime onwards. Anything new or important will still flash across the bottom of the screen anyway but there came a point when I just c...

Re: POLITICS CORNER

Why all these numerous entries on Trump anyway...you lot hate any outsider sledging your politics/nhs etc...yet you love to give America a poke. ( and you seem quite sarcastic about Australia too, especially our low Covid deaths and our brilliant track and trace system). Have you not got enough goin...

:biggrin2: Trump would not be barred from running again IF he was pardoned by the Vice President in the last 24 hours before Biden starts...
...but he cannot pardon himself, as that is an admission of wrong doing.

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Well put the kettle on Sue, make some strong mugs of tea. I shall be over shortly, and we shall get this jigsaw sorted! I do need winter sunlight over my back. If you can arrange that, it should be a doddle...)
(PS....I won’t need cake or biscuits..)

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Must admit...that jigsaw...looks difficult. :good:
I might need to sip some wine to unleash my inner eye, with THAT one :laugh5:
( mind you, the most difficult jigsaws I have done come together beautifully if I just have the winter sun on my back through a window, and a good cup of tea in hand)

Re: Seen in the News

I wonder if all the Doomsday Preppers are getting their “bug out” gear ready...being just a hop, skip and a jump from Civil War.
What a bunch of idiots.
And Teflon Trump...well...nothing sticks to him as we all know.

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

It was two years ago tonight ( our wedding anniversary) when I stood up out of my lounge chair (to pop off for a wee), when my life changed forever. An immense pain suddenly shot down my right leg, I couldn’t walk, could hardly breathe. I screamed...and hobbled to bed...launching myself face down......

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Thanks Wendy. We enjoyed a half a Pizza (the rest has gone in the freezer) and a couple of glasses of Red. Full to bursting now, so settling back on the couch...slightly dozy...until it is time for bed. Hubby says he is just resting his eyes, but I know we have challenged the carbs tonight. Back on ...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

From tomorrow onwards, we find our calendar quite free...no more birthdays, visits, guests, medical appts, etc. our busy period seems to be over. Phew....we can sit back and relax a bit. That is amazingly liberating. :good:

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

Pushing the boat out - our 25th Wedding Anniversary today, so having Pizza delivered. We did think about a pub meal, but with so many strangers in town, we hope this is a safer choice.
No cooking for me tonight! Woohoo!
