Re: MEDICAL MATTERS

My body has decided to send a reminder that something is wrong, again. Swollen and hot to the touch, but it's been years since the last incident. Hopefully be gone in a few days of it's own accord Tardis...an auto-immune thing? (I am considering several possibilities, but you say this has occurred ...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

Home-made Cannelloni. Made the Tomato based Sauce this morning by slow roasting Tomatoes, Onions, Herbs, Red Capsicums, Tomato Paste, etc. (makes the house smell yummy)
Filled the pasta tubes, added the sauce, topped with cheese.
Stand back after serving or get killed in the rush!

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Febby's grandkids visited today. Had to call a halt to the unrestrained fun when young lad was flapping very expensive Dining Room curtains at the dog...Matador style. Apart from that, only had to lower myself to the point of pure bribery, with a packet of chocolate biscuits, when same lad was flick...

You would be shocked by the statistics of our generation of Australians who took on board the health messages shoved down out throats to avoid the sun, cover up, wear hats and apply sunscreen in the past thirty years. Whilst Melanoma is a killer, so many of us now have severe Vitamin D deficiencies....

They are called "MAMILs", Stanley (Middle Aged Men In Lycra).
I'm not sure if they look worse from the back or from the front! The padded backside is not terribly fetching, and I am sure some of them carry their bike pumps down their front.

Now...I ADMIT I have mild OCD tendencies...so I quite understood the situation when my toddler went into complete meltdown if I served his morning toast cut into squares when he had his heart set on triangles....or 'soldiers'. I found it best to ask what he wanted each morning, as his desires change...

I'm sorry to hear about your in-law worries too, Nolic. ( gosh...aren't some of us going through some stuff at the moment?) Thankfully, my mother lives over 8 hours drive away, so we don't have a huge involvement in each other's lives, and I don't feel the least bit guilty about that. We do correspo...

Re: Summer 2013

We have had a run of sunny afternoons, which have been very enjoyable, though today is cloudy with little patches of blue showing through. Keeping an eye out, as I have a line full of washing. if it looks like rain, I shall be off at trotting speed to gather it all in. Might even get a walk in later...

Haven't given dinner a lot of thought. Son dining out with friends, so just the two of us to consider.

Bless dear old Alfie. Walking my son's Labrador is no joke...she has never been trained to walk correctly, and sadly she is now set in her ways. No Guinness in the house Stanley. Just as well...I love babies but think we have had enough significant events in our life lately.
Bought him some Cooper's Stout today though so that is chilling for him, along with the Lemonade.
I will have a glass of red with Homemade Pizza for dinner.
