Waiting to hear that this fabulous new lass is settling in and giving Sparky some distraction.
Poor old Sparky. I imagine he is feeling the loss off his dear old stable mate.

We do not get food deliveries. We go shopping, and choose our own food. Then freeze our fresh meat etc...
We have insulated bags to store fresh food in for the 5 min drive home.

Recycling day tomorrow, so a good solid 2 hours cleaning out old Ancestry paperwork ( my favourite kind of sorting NOT!).
That topped up the recycling bin to full after I kindly emptied hubby’s office waste paper basket and shredding machine.
I don’t want to handle any more paper today Thankyou.

What to do about Sparky? He may suffer depression without his mate. He may suffer abandonment without his regular surroundings and his Wendy “Mum”. Tough decision.

Summer Salad Veg not too badly priced here. Cauliflower and Broccoli are horrendous prices. ( Cauliflower £3.50 for a very very small one, about the size of a large grapefruit) I did buy a Broccoli the size of my clenched fist...made sure I enjoyed every mouthful tonight. Sprouts are about £7.00 a k...

Doesn’t take much to get me to jump in a bath...I have one every morning.
Hot and sweaty here again today. I was considering another bath, but things are building for a massive thunderstorm and tomorrow will only be 19C. Could be an interesting night, full of thunder and lightning.

Currently, nearing 5pm, we have 32 C. Quite comfortable with all doors open and ceiling fans on rather than air conditioning.

Don’t fancy Banana Peep Curry...but it has plenty of fibre though :laugh5: Mediterranean Veg Bake tonight...contains Onion, Red Capsicum, Spinach, Aubergine, Zucchini, Tomatoes, Cheese, Oregano, Parsley, Basil and Chilli...plenty of fibre there too! Meat free. Had two small slices of stale bread, so...

My husband was hanging around the kitchen yesterday. When he is bored, he is like a blow fly trapped in a bottle. I was making myself a sandwich and he told me I wasn’t doing it in the correct order...the layers were all wrong. :geek: I just turned the pointy end of my knife in his direction and sai...

Wow! Beautiful but bleak, Wendy. Hubby and I have been recalling visits to the UK and can’t see ourselves making it over there again...I don’t think Covid and all its strains or future mutations will allow free travel as we have known it in the past. He would dearly love to see his Aunt again. We ha...

We did our usual quick early morning grocery shop...in and out quick smart before the tourists! A warm day, so after our mid morning walk we have basically been “vegged” out on the couch...back and front doors open and ceiling fans on for a cooling breeze...watching Cricket and whatever else floats ...
