Re: PET'S CORNER

Oh my heart jumped when I read that. Poor Jack , the germs on animals teeth and claws can do nasty damage, but it's onwards and upwards now. (with my cat, her ulcer was inside, and she was on her way 'out', it was only thru my observations of her that the vet found the problem. She is great ...

Re: PET'S CORNER

You know what animals are like when they hurt, they normally keep themselves quite still and are good at hiding things. Maybe a vet check so the vet can have a deep feel of Jack all over.
Good to hear that he sounds like he is improving.

Hopefully Jack is just experiencing delayed reaction, trying to process what happened.
How old is Jack now? I would think a normal routine would be good, if you are both up to it.

Re: HOUSEHOLD TIPS NOT FOUND IN WOMAN'S WEEKLY

I have never told anyone to give up smoking as far as I can remember, because I used to smoke myself and know how demanding the addiction is. And people start smoking because of all sorts of reasons, a few words from me aren't going to change anyone's mind. I've had school kids come up to me, handin...

I've had a peep back into my 'archives' (old calendars) and they say that Marilyn and I gave up smoking very early January 2013, so that's just over 6 years. :good: :thankyou:

Re: HOUSEHOLD TIPS NOT FOUND IN WOMAN'S WEEKLY

Wow is it 5yrs! I have been so used to not smoking I haven't even thought about it for so long. I try to hold my breath if I have to walk past smokers , cigarette smoke is just awful.
Yes I have put on some weight (not heaps), but Hey! I'm healthier in other ways.

Re: DIALECT AND WORD MEANINGS

I understand Mother in Laws curse to be when your fingertips get very cold and dry, then the skin cracks and often bleeds. I sometimes suffer from it in Winter, it becomes worse when I am collating at work, especially on my thumb tips.
