Re: Seen in the News

Yes...but I don’t think you are given the true figures, China. Some reports suggest 10x “official” reports ( and sales of funeral urns tends to support that) Really?!! :biggrin2: "Some reports" never mention the source and are usually just speculation or journalists exaggerating the truth to fill t...

Re: Seen in the News

Asymptomatic cases are always going to be a problem wherever they are present. This novel bug is out there and widespread globally and will continue to be a threat. China's death rate (official figures) from Covid is very low compared with countries like UK, USA, Spain and Italy, I know where I'd ra...

Re: Seen in the News

I wish we knew more about the situation in China...how they are coping with the second wave of virus, how infection and death rates are doing and if people are successfully returning to work. Hearing nothing at all causes worry. I hope they are doing well as a nation. It would be hard to cope with ...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Hubby’s hairdresser works from home and is still taking appointments on a solo basis, so hubby has a time slot this morning. I did offer to trim his hair. He said he would rather become a hippy if his hairdresser wasn’t taking clients. Maz, I let my wife cut my hair recently. For years I have resis...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

We had a lovely walk around Kelbrook Moor yesterday morning. I thought I'd share this view of Pendle with those of you not able to access our beautiful countryside. Thanks Wendy. Great picture. I've saved it to show Jiaping when she gets back from Liuzhou. When we were in England in 2010 we...

Added my 2 pennyworth. Got a receipt and a transaction number, does that mean everything has gone through OK? I use my card so infrequently these days that I forget the address at which it is registered!

On a general point, considering the mileage, I am as fit as anyone my age can reasonably expect to be. It's age that is the problem and if you are above the government age limit for treatment Gott helfe mir may be your best option although I don't believe it will! So keep yourself safe. More bleach...

I think I know what Trippy doesn’t want to say.. ( is it about who/who isn’t going to be considered for care? Blanket rule - don’t bother going to hospital.) I'll say it, high risk cases excluded from intensive care. Is that right, Tripps? My eldest daughter works for the NHS in Cumbria in the comm...
