Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

Just sorted a wasps nest that was being constructed in our small pent shed in the back yard. Single female I think who was constructing somewhere to lay her eggs later in the year. Unoccupied of course at this time of the year so a work in progress that I have put paid to. I sprayed the inside frame...

Re: Miscellaneous DIY Projects (or bits of jobs)

We will gradually work our way round the walls and leave the ceiling and central divider with it's butchers bar and hooks till last. They will have to come d...

Re: Blood Donors

Not time to get my medical form posted on my earlier appointment so I rocked up half an hour earlier around 2.35. I had dropped Sally of at Airedale as she needed to pick some new bra's she had ordered from the Breast Clinic. She said she would start walking back home from the hospital and we agreed...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

I had home made Spaghetti Carbonara. Didn't have pancetta and the correct cheeses but it still turned out very tasty. I substituted thick cut back bacon for the pancetta and Parmesan and extra mature Cheddar for the cheese, garlic and black pepper sauce.

Re: POLITICS CORNER

To our shame we are still supporting the genocide. It's just the same as Russia stealing sections of Ukraine's sovereign territory although as yet they are not using direct ethnic cleansing techniques like the Zionists. I cant understand why both belligerent nations have not been held to accou...

Re: FORGOTTEN CORNERS

It depend on which platform and which browser you are using whether you can see images using the full URL string from the Gallery. This is down to how those combinations handle their security. there are lots of permutations. That is why there is a wildcard option on the SSL certificate and that is t...

Universal Reference Locator. The text string you see in the (URL) bar in your browser. From the Galleries point of view its the one you have always used and not the BB Code version.

I would suggest the one using the full URL. It renders as full size or a preset 800x600 if larger.

My latest Sourdough, last weeks didn't turn out of the Banneton correctly and ended up collapsed so edible but a bit dense. I mixed this one up last night and set it up in the Banneton then shoved it into the fridge overnight for a slow rise. Turned out better. https://www.oneguyfrombarlick....

I'm double posting to make sure that everyone, and not just members, can see the images I post. I don't know what other people's browsers are showing them. I shall double post until I am sure that things have gone back to 'normal'. For instance, can everyone see historic images? You will never get ...

Turnout was reasonably low also, 39% I think. It's a tad better in a GE.

In my view the 1945 Labour Government was the last time socialist policies were applied in earnest to the population. Guess what, It worked.

Stanley, I see you are still double posting images. Can you not see the firsts ones using the full URL? If that is the case can I suggest you fully close your browser and then reload the site and see what happens. Look at the SSL thread in the admin section for more info.

The young Chinese guy is a joy to watch, On his first visit to the Crucible he demolished Ronnie who it has to be said, and he said it himself, was not on his best game. I don't follow any individual player as such, I just appreciate a good game whoever wins. It will be Judd Trump or Mark Williams t...
