Re: COMPUTERS, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY
A shout out for Amazon's Alexa. The scenario I bought it for happened. I had a fall when I was on my own and couldn't get up I I was able to call Catherine from the floor and she arrived with the cavalry. Mr Garry Pearson who is a local painter and decorator was with her and together they scraped me...

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS
It doesn’t sound right to me either Pluggy. They should find out at what level your degeneration is coming from, be it peripheral muscles or deep nerves ( not just with a muscle biopsy, but with electrical stimulation/conduction tests). I think we all feel for you. No wonder your happy thoughts hav...

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS
Its that infrequent visitor to the Medical Thread again. As I said in my last post, I had an appointment with the Neurologist on Tuesday. Hoping for an answer to what this condition is. No go I'm afraid. He ruled out Parkinsons which he assures me is a good thing. He doesn't know what it is I;d need...

I wouldn't bother. I've looked at 20.04, it doesn't offer a compelling reason to upgrade IMO Look at it again when 22.04 becomes available.

Re: MEDICAL MATTERS
As China as prompted me. Still degenerating but just hanging on to being able to walk. Exercise gives me pain especially at night so its stacked against me. Just this morning I got an appointment through to see my neurologist on the 13th October at Airedale which is encouraging - maybe I'll get a na...

Re: Mobile Phones
I have a Friedland 1amp transformer you can have if you want to play with it. It has 3 voltage outputs, 3, 5 and 8. 20200701_132750.jpg I did get it going after contacting its owner and she deregistered it. I'm trialling using its internal batteries and without committing my self to screwing it dow...

Re: Mobile Phones
Hmmm, it does say a £10 top up is for 120 days, it looks like it accumulates whats left of the 120 days if you top up before. OK it'll accumulate £70 in around 3 years I have been known to burn £10 in a few days when on holiday.

Re: Mobile Phones
It would take a long time to accumulate £70 credit on 1p mobile. Mine last topped itself up last month and it says the mext top up is due in February 2022. Assuming I don;t burn the credit before then. Ar rhant rate it wouldn't cost more than £70 in ten years. I typically burn £10 in around 4 months...
