Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

I am not sure what exactly you are referring to, Stanley. Was it the video or the comment that was made referring to the radio. I haven’t watched the video. It seemed to be12 months old and I think we would expect any advice from back then to be out of date. Or are you referring to the comment made ...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19) Corner

While talking about the India situation and the `India variant' on radio this morning an Indian official made a very sensible comment: "I keep telling everyone not to panic about new variants, they can all be avoided by masking". I think you are kidding yourself Tiz! ( you think that a “s...

Everything looks so terribly “snug”. It is hard for us to understand small rooms ( we are all used to much bigger spaces here).
🤣 it can take me all morning just to Hoover downstairs!
Mind you, I find your work adorable...

Far out! Did you know that your image appears upside down in a spoon if you hold the bowl of the spoon toward you ( and no matter which way up because I checked). If you hold the bulbous side toward you, all is ok. I am 61 years old and never knew that. Where have I been all my life. :laugh5: I love...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

Sad as it is, I have no real problem with those who suicide. It is an intensely personal decision. But to take children or a previous partner with you is extremely beyond the pale. No excuse for that. ( my best friend’s son committed suicide ( aged 35 with 4 kids) and we have both had to work throug...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

Why...for heaven’s sake...would a 38 year old estranged partner ( guilty of partner abuse) be allowed access to his beautiful 9 month old daughter...strap her to his chest in a baby carrier...then launch himself over the side of a dam wall...committing murder/suicide? I am in absolute despair trying...

Sadly, that is what I was referring to Plaquey.
We are not immune...unfortunately we have also let them in.
This is going to take some SORTING!
I wish we were more pro-active rather than having to react to these problems.

When you talk about “pungent” herbs, Tiz...is Rosemary among them? I love smelling Rosemary if I brush against it in a garden. Lovely...but I can’t tolerate it in food. I love the smell of Lavender too, but could not consume it ( though people do). Coriander is another herb that I love the smell of,...

Pelt me with soft fruit or eggs, not stones, please!😞
You haven’t locked your borders firmly enough, despite all the good you have done with lockdown and vaccinations.

I think...sadly...that anyone having a restaurant and surviving the Pandemic...must now have their business hat on as well as their Chef’s hat. None of our fruit or veg is wrapped here, with the exception of potatoes and carrots ( you have a choice there of buying them in a bag or picking them up individually and bagging them yourself). But everything else is sold loose, with no wrapping. You have to pick each individual Brussel Sprout up e...
