Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Will do. He is in good spirits and has asked me to get a bottle of Stout and a bottle of Lemonade in the fridge for when he gets home. He is not a big drinker, but loves a small glass of Stout and Lemonade. Apparently his cardiologist will only be assisting tomorrow. Because it is expected to be dif...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Just sitting around waiting now. 3 hour op booked for Friday...two stents...one apparently very tricky because it is in the arch of the artery and doc says it is a delicate task and he intends to work very slowly and carefully. I have been feeling the stress Eileen but spent the afternoon in the gar...

Eeeee...Tizzy...I am looking forward to the same thing! We are just flying slightly blind because an echocardiogram showed a 'perfect' heart three weeks ago. They did that to see if the Septicaemia had attacked the heart. When he began to get breathless, we were under the false impression that it mu...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

I see you are up and on line, Stanley, so before you ask I will report that they did the 'tube in the heart' thing last night and found the blockage. For some reason they didn't go ahead at that point and put the stent in...possibly because David had chest and arm pain? But they are now talking abou...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

He is ok, Stanley. They say they have the infection in check, so this evening they are hoping to clear the blockage in his heart and put a stent in ( so that will be his fourth stent as he has three in his legs!). Fingers crossed it all goes well as there is a risk of stroke.. (I find myself getting...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

Some days my man is grumpy, and some days he goes out of his way to be contrary...or nit-picketty. Mostly I just laugh it off...people ask 'how do you live with him?'...but I genuinely find his moods amusing. I do find it annoying if I make arrangements for us to be somewhere at a particular time, a...

Re: Family Matters

You are permitted to have a little giggle over this... Hubby has been back in hospital a couple of days. As I was preparing to leave him and come home from visiting him, he asked if I could take a couple of pairs of his undies home to wash. No problem? Did he have a plastic bag? Not on him...what wa...

Whist waiting in one of the numerous hospital corridors I have been trapped in lately, I came upon a poster about the health benefits of Mushrooms. I eat fresh Mushrooms most days. I was delighted to read all the good they are doing me.

He scares us all when he says things like that, Liz. He often eats the dog food...or what he calls dog food...because he feeds the dog meat fit for human consumption. I still cringe every time I read it. Dinner tonight. Bought some fresh Prawns on my way back from the hospital. It was a complete whi...

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

Thank you. News today is that the Septicaemia is still active, has attacked his heart and he has had a mild heart attack. At least one of his bypass sites is blocked again, possibly by infection. They must treat the infection before they can work on the heart. Another waiting game. But he is not fee...

Cardiologist didn't mince words either! It looks serious. Playing the waiting game...the usual wait for test results, but the ones he had today do not give a good picture. I feel so sorry for him.Had to fight back the tears a couple of times.

Have a rare couple of hours home alone this arvo, so might curl up with a book. Or I may just lay there, absorb the peace, and let my mind wander.
