Good five inches here in Burnley - we are quite high up - there is not as much down in the town.
Say only a little but say it well.

Nice pics Wendy. Ian is right, by 21:00 last night, thankfully, it had all gone. Light sleet this morning......

After the rain and hail this morning....through the bathroom window. You can just see the ponies with their soaking coats by the wall.

That hail shower we had with the thunder at about 15:00 was quite heavy and it surprised me how long the drifts of hail persisted. It must have been accompanied by a sharp drop in temperature.

If you look at yesterday's results from our weather station you can see the drop in temperature HERE
We flatlined before midday yesterday as the wi-fi was out for a couple of hours.

Something shiny and new has arrived in my view.....I really didn't need to know the exact position of Euravia in Kelbrook!

The chimney must be an exhaust to lift the fumes from aircraft engine testing above the residents of Kelbrook....my nose will be on full alert!

I keep meaning to ask Wendy does the cuckoo return to the cloughs in Spring still? I always listened for it when I lived in Kelbrook.

The combine is out cutting barley in the Sandbeds field across the valley, the ground is very wet though. The stalks must just be chopped up and spat out, there is never any straw left.
