After the rain and hail this morning....through the bathroom window. You can just see the ponies with their soaking coats by the wall.

That hail shower we had with the thunder at about 15:00 was quite heavy and it surprised me how long the drifts of hail persisted. It must have been accompanied by a sharp drop in temperature.

The combine is out cutting barley in the Sandbeds field across the valley, the ground is very wet though. The stalks must just be chopped up and spat out, there is never any straw left.
