Ragwort disposal

Post by Tardis »

After asking a question at the West Craven Area Committee last week, I got this reply today:
In terms of the disposal of Ragwort it can be disposed of in the grey refuge bins provided it is double bagged. Clearly this is for small scale household disposal. Were there to be a requirement to dispose of large quantities specific advice would need to be gained from the waste authority – Lancashire County Council.
Which does mean that you shouldn't put it in the 'green' bin

So Barlick has `refuge bins'? Is this where you put refugees?
By the way, it reminds me of the sign at the old folks' home: "Residents refuse to go in black bins".
