Well summer seems to be with us again, for a few days at least. Could this be the last bit of summer we get (the last throws) or might we get some more in September. It has been known for September to give us a mini heatwave, of sorts, but all we can do is hope. But, as Stanley says, it gives us a chance to get our washing done, dusted and dried outside. :laugh5:

Lovely drying day. How can one man and a dog produce so much washing? Glass climbed again to 30.1" so perhaps the summer weather will stick for another day or two..... Very settled sky.

Glass fallen back slightly to just over 30" and a fresh feel to the morning, bit more breeze and cooler. Change coming? Noticed that we have quite high humidity.....

Yes there is a change a foot. Breezier today but sunny. Sunny but chance of a shower later tomorrow. Next week cooler, changeable with some rain or showers. Typical British weather.

Glass back to almost 29.7". Four weeks to Autumnal Equinox..... Ah well, another summer down the tube!

Hot yesterday but sun didn't come out until late afternoon. Today seems very much the same. At least it's not raining! Eileen

 Rain, rain? Oh yes, I remember. That wet stuff that falls out of the sky. Almost forgotten what it looks like. Seriously, we are now desperate for some.
Dwarf beans and tomatoes burnt to a cinder, even with regular watering. Noticed yesterday that even the Kiwi vine is beginning to suffer. They keep forecasting the odd thundery shower, but none of them ever reach us.
cheers,
cloggy

A couple of light showers late evening followed by a dry night. Glass is slowly falling and is almost back at 29.5". Rain coming in from the Atlantic.... Shorts can be laundered and put way now!

Very cloudy here today but plenty of blue around. Hope the sun gets out. Ever the optimist not putting my shorts away yet, mind we have another trip to Brittany lined up. Eileen

Very still, quite warm, dry and a bit overcast in the Wye Valley. Could go either way. Nolic

Nolic, are you on holiday in the Wye Valley (Forest of Dean) or are you living there now. I remember that area very well. Stayed near St Briavels a good few years back. I love the Monmouth area.

Holiday Ray.

Weather not too bad today. A few very light showers but some sun - enought to pass on Hereford and sit in the garden this afternoon. Nolic

Not a bad day here in Barlick either, the forecasted rain didn't arrive. Dry night. Glass back to 29.5". If it is a change it's very slow.

Comrade, you're obviously in the right place and you and your minder deserve it. Is Misty getting on with the border rabbits?

Pluggy, it's called cooking!
No rain yet but increasingly threatening. Glass steady on 29.5" but we are promised an Atlantic Low coming in today and working its way up the country with strong SW winds at first. As the low moves through we will get NW winds off the back of it if it doesn't weaken and fill. So showery outlook for the next week.

The low is passing through Somerset as I write, with strong winds and torrential rain. We seem to have had constant high humidity for a week or more now. Mind you, we can't complain when you see how extreme the weather is in other countries - the US heatwave and drought continues and their food crop predictions are getting worse by the day. The maize crop (mainly used for animal feed) is down 15% and falling - if this were the 1800s that would mean 15% less meat which would have meant 15% of people starving.

We had a brisk, warm SW wind and some heavy showers. Glass fell at one point to 29.4" but is back at 29.5" now as the low passes through. Dodging showers again today but no extreme weather as yet.

Not a bad day today. Some warm sunny spells nice for getting out up to Alkincoats Park, Colne. Rain overnight tonight. Heavier rain Friday evening. Rain early Saturday, not bad by the afternoon. Heavy showers and warmer by Sunday. And that's your three day forcast.

Some heavy showers yesterday and rain during the night. Glass steady on 29.5" More showers? Good thing was we escaped the severe thunderstorms that were wandering around. I rang a fiend in Todmorden at 9am and they were having torrential rain.

The forecasters say today will be the hottest day of the year, not in Bar;lick I'm afraid! Overcast again but glass has risen to 29.8" and is going up fast. I haven't the faintest idea what this means!
