I've had a short walk, it's cool, breezy and heavily overcast. Not raining at the moment but it looks threatening. Not high summer!

Yesterday the damp afternoon had ended by 20:00. We had a light cool breeze and though overcast it had stopped raining. This morning it's calm and clear and the flags are almost bone dry. The glass is up slightly on 1000mb. The forecast is gloomy, it says heavy showers. The light wind starts in the east but during the day swings through North and ends up as a westerly. It gives us a high of 16C a low of 13C and a maximum wind chill of -2C around midday. The five day outlook is for similar unsettled and unseasonable weather.
Later.... we have 100% cloud and contrary to the forecast the wind is westerly already.

The forecasters seemed out of touch on that. We'd already had (unforecasted) high and gusty winds and heavy rain in previous days - and last night and now it's quieter! Strong winds have become much more frequent here.

Peter, I suspect the weather is more chaotic than usual and difficult to forecast. We are seeing discrepancies as well.
Yesterday was gloomy and damp right up to nightfall. This morning I think we have a high uniform overcast, very hard to see. Its calm cool and not raining, the flags are drying! The glass is steady on 1001mb. he forecast is for showers and sunny intervals all day. The wind is a light to moderate westerly giving a high of 17C a low of 11C and -2C wind chill. Not high summer. The five day outlook is for similar weather into August!

Yesterday managed to stay dry until mid afternoon. At 20:00 we had light rain. First thing this morning it was calm and dry with a light overcast. The glass is up on 1005mb. The forecast is for an overcast day but with only a remote chance of rain. The light NE wind gives us a high of 16C and a low of 8C with a negligible wind chill. The five day outlook is for similar weather, no sign of high summer!

The forecasters spoke with forked tongue, Despite some breaks in the cloud we have had constant very light mizzle, not enough to say rain but wet nevertheless!

We had some heavy cloud on and off all day. At 20:00 it was cool, cloudy and dry. This morning the western sky is clear, the east has high scattered cloud but not enough to hide the half moon. The glass is up on 1011mb. The forecast is for a sunny day. A very light east wind starts the day but by late morning is a light to moderate westerly. This gives an almost tropical high of 17C and another single figure low of 9C with a slight wind chill. The five day outlook is for it to warm slightly and be quite sunny overall, no nasty surprises that I can see.

Yesterday afternoon was pleasant and at 20:00 we had late sun. This morning it's cool, calm and clear. The glass is steady on 1010mb. the forecast is for a sunny day. The very light wind settles as WNW later today giving us a high of 19C and a low of 11C with negligible wind chill. The 5 day outlook is for mixed weather nit high summer but no bad surprises!
06:00. Early sun coming in in Barlick. I wish you all the same.

Yesterday afternoon was nice and sunny but clouded later. At 20:00 late sun was getting through under the cloud. This morning it was cool calm and partially clouded. It's the same now. The glass is unchanged on 1010mb.
The forecast is for a dry sunny day until mid afternoon when there is a chance of light rain. The wind is very light and all over the place, it visits every point of the compass and gives a high of 20C and a low of 13C with only a slight chill. The five day forecast is for similar mixed weather, Friday could see a thunderstorm and generally more rain is expected. Not high summer but things could be worse!

Yesterday was a nice afternoon but just as the day before, it clouded over and at 20:00 we had heavy cloud cover. Still clouded over this morning but dry and calm. The glass has fallen to 1003mb. The forecast is for the day to start with sunny intervals but by 13:00 we can expect showers, some quite heavy. The wind is a constant moderate SE giving a high of 18C and a low of 14C with as much as -3C wind chill this afternoon in the rain.
The outlook for the next three days is cool, wet and with yellow warnings of thunderstorms. No signs of the temperatures recovering to summer levels yet.
Later, listening to the weather forecast there is a deep depression coming in from the Atlantic and that's what's going to give us grief for the next three days at least.

Yesterday the rain came in at 15:30. It was only light, none of the downpours we were threatened with but it was steady , still light rain at 20:00. First thing this morning we still had light rain and a fretful little breeze, since then it has calmed down and stopped raining. The glass has plunged to 987mb and is still falling. The forecast is for a day of sunny spells and heavy showers, perhaps even thunder. The constant moderate SW wind gives a high of 17C and a low of 12C with a -2C chill. The 5 day outlook is for very similar unsettled weather. Certainly not high summer!

Yesterday was gloomy and in the afternoon we had intermittent light rain. Still light rain at 20:00 last night. First thing this morning we had a light breeze, broken light cloud but dry. The glass is steady on 987mb. We have a yellow alert for thunder and heavy rain until midnight but yesterday we escaped and perhaps will do do today. The forecast is the same as yesterday, sunny intervals, showers and the threat of thunder. The constant South wind is moderate and gives a high of 16C and a low of 13C with a -2C wind chill. The next two days are forecast as cool and wet like today, after that there is a slight improvement but not much.
06:00. The cloud has filled in now, heavy overcast.

It started raining late morning yesterday and apart from bating a couple of times it has rained ever since. At 20:00 it was heavy rain and same first thing this morning, it hasn't stopped but is a bit lighter at the moment. The glass is steady on 989mb. The forecast is the same as yesterday and includes a yellow thunder warning until 21:00. Expect heavy rain all day and you won't go far wrong. The constant WSW wind is moderate and will gust to 35mph this afternoon giving a high of 16C and a low of 12C with a -3C chill this afternoon. The five day outlook is dryer but nothing exciting in the way of summer weather.

Yesterday afternoon the rain stopped, it was still dry at 20:00. First thing this morning the sky was clear and the flags dry, It's still dry but I can't tell if the sky is clear or not. The glass has leapt up to 1002mb. The forecast is for it to be dry with sunny intervals and then light showers from 13:00 on. The constant light WSW wind is light to moderate and gives a high of 17C and a low of 13C with a wind chill of -2C. The five day outlook is for similar unexciting weather.
