No frost over here, it’s fine up to now, and we have had a lovely purple/red sky this morning which has settled down into bright sunlight.

I got out for an early walk this morning and it was just starting to snow as I came back down the road.

Yesterday we had no serious snow but frequent episodes of very cold sleety rain. At 20:00 it was damp but not raining and the sky was clearing. First thing this morning there was scattered light cloud and clear areas with stars. There was evidence of a recent sleet/hail shower. I've just looked out and it's the same, not raining but wet and the wind is rising. The glass has dropped to 998mb. The forecast is for light snow all day with broken cloud. The moderate westerly wind gusts to 30mph and the high is 2C and the low 0C with as much as -6C chill at times this morning. The result is a perceived temperature of at least -4C all day so if you do go out wrap up warm! The outlook is milder tomorrow with heavy rain and the rest of the week mild and overcast.
06:00. It's started snowing in Barlick.

It lashed down against the windows a couple of times during the night, now cold and damp.

My CCTV shows a covering of snow on the back yard, I would imagine Wendy has a fair bit up on the mountain.

We have an inch or two added to the light covering from the other day.

We've got no covering, just a niggling light fall of sleet every now and again.

We've had sleet and rain in Taunton and I can see the hills of Exmoor are covered in snow.

Yesterday I had my short walk in a shower of sleet. That was the story on and off for the rest of the afternoon. At 20:00 it was breezy and cold and there had been a recent shower. This morning is the same and I have just looked outside to check, we have significant rain now. The glass rose briefly yesterday but is back down on 999mb. The forecast is for rain all day. The brisk S wind settles to a west wind by late morning gusting to 35mph giving a high of 7C and a low of 2C with a wind chill of -5C which means that for most of the day it will feel below freezing. Expect similar overcast weather for the rest of the week.
05:30 Still raining, gale warnings in all sea areas and the glass is falling very rapidly, it's down on 996 already.

Same here Gloria, significant rain, a gusty wind and cold. Bed for second sleep is looking very attractive. I feel so sorry for anyone who has to be out in this.

Yesterday brightened up marginally in the afternoon but it was still a lousy day! At 20:00 it wasn't raining but not far off and very cold. First thing this morning it was breezy and cold with an overcast sky but dry. It's the same now but with the addition of very light rain. The glass has recover5ed a bit from an overnight lower value and is on 990mb. The forecast is for a cloudy day with light showers setting in from early morning. The constant WSW wind is moderate and gives a high of 5C and a low of 4C with a -5C wind chill. Look forward to a sunny day on Tuesday but otherwise similar to today for the next week.

I've been out for my walk. Blue sky and sunshine. I stepped out of the door and fine rain started. The wind was bitter, it rained all the time I was out and the only consolation was a full rainbow against the grey cloud!

Yesterday afternoon was cold, wet and uncertain sunny spells. At 20:00 it was clear enough to see the moon but we had light rain... First thing this morning it's overcast, dry, milder and we have a light breeze. I've pooped out and it's still the same. The glass is up on 1007mb. The forecast is for a dry overcast day. The south wind is moderate and gives a high of 7C and a low of 4C with a -3C chill. Expect similar temperatures for the rest of the week, sunny tomorrow and not a lot of rain in the forecast. Ten days into January and the weather is being quite kind to us. Think what it could be like.....

Yesterday the afternoon got wet eventually, at 20:00 we had a recent rain shower and it was raining this morning first thing. I've ad a look and it has stopped raining. The glass is up on 1020mb. The forecast is for a dry day with good sun. The wind is a light westerly giving us a high of 6C a low of 1C and a -2C chill. Not bad, it won't feel like freezing until later tonight. Nothing exciting in the outlook, gradually cooling but on the whole dry but overcast.

Yesterday the afternoon stayed dry and at 20:00 we had a clear sky and a good moon. Same first thing this morning, calm and dry. The only change is that there is some cloud now. The glass is up on 1034mb. The forecast is for a cloudy day with mist later. The constant moderate WSW wind gives a high of 7C and a low of 5C with a -3C chill all day. The outlook for the next six days is similar quiet weather with very little rain. Good weather for January!

Bright and sunny now... Just had a short walk, no sitting on the bench, just a bit too cold for that but not a bad day now.
