Yesterday was very mild and pleasant by late afternoon. At 20:00 it was breezy but mild and dry. First thing this morning it was still mild and dry under broken cloud but very windy. Still the same. The glass is down on 991mb. The forecast is for rain early morning and sunshine and showers this afternoon. The mainly SW wind is strong and gusty all day up to 40mph. It gives a high of 8C and a low of 2C tonight with a -5C chill. The outlook is for similar weather, still no cold spell in the forecast.
05:00. I've inspected the Pioneer car park and all is well. It's still dry and very windy. The wind is strong enough for the wind chill to make the mild temperature feel cold.

Yesterday was a good afternoon as long as you didn't get caught in a shower. At 20:00 we had 50% cloud cover, crescent moon and stars clearly visible. windy and colder. First thing this morning the same but perhaps less cloud, still windy and cold. I've just popped me head out and it's still the same but there could be more cloud. The glass is up on 997mb. The forecast is for it to be an overcast day with light rain from 08:00 onwards. The South wind is brisk all day gusting to 45mph and giving a high of 9C and a low of 8C with as much as -5C wind chill at times. The outlook is for it to be warmer, into double figures for the next week.
08:25. It started spotting with rain at 8AM, dead on time.

Yesterday it spotted with rain on and off all day but was dry and windy under broken cloud at 20:00. First thing this morning we had less wind but steady serious rain, at the moment a bit more wind but the rain has eased. the glass is down slightly on 994mb. The forecast is for rain all day. The moderate constant south wind will gust to 40mph and give a high of 11C and a low of 7C with a -3C wind chill all day. The outlook is for similar weather for the next six days.
05:10. No, I haven't been for a walk! I just stuck my head out of the door and I can tell you that it's definitely still raining in Barlick. :biggrin2:
Later.. the rain has stopped and it's drying up. Could we be having east coast weather?

We had some late afternoon showers yesterday but by 20:00 it was dry, breezy and enough breaks in the cloud to have a crescent moon and stars. First thing this morning it was still dry and windy but I think we have 100% overcast. The glass is up slightly on 997mb. The forecast is cloudy with light rain this afternoon. The South wind is mild and moderate and not as gusty as yesterday. High of 9C and low of 6C with a -3C chill for much of the day. The outlook is still for similar mild weather for the next week.
07:00. I've not been in the shed this morning so I have just been for a walk round the Pioneer Car park. All is well, it's still there! We have a dry morning and it's cool because we have a stiff breeze but nowhere near freezing. We have high broken cloud and some of it is a very interesting linear pattern.

The rain came back in yesterday as promised and at 20:00 we had a very light breeze and light rain to go with it. This morning first thing it was calm, cloudy and very light rain, Just looked out and it is still the same. The glass is up on 1005mb and still rising. The forecast is for rain until late morning and then the chance of some dry sunny spells this afternoon. The wind has changed to a light to moderate westerly giving a high of 8C and a low of 3C with perhaps a -2C wind chill at times. The outlook is for warmer and drier weather.
05:45. I don't need to go for a walk to tell you that it's mild, calm and raining. No big surprise there, exactly as forecast.

Town square in the sunshine yesterday.

The forecast was accurate, yesterday afternoon was bright and sunny. At 20:00 it was dry and mild, overcast but windy. First thing this morning it was the same but the wind was much stronger. The glass is up on 1012mb. The forecast is for a morning of sunshine and showers, then overcast and light rain again this evening. The story is the strong southerly wind, gusts to 50mph and giving a high of 10C and a low of 9C with a -4C wind chill all day. The outlook for the next six days is mainly mild, dry and some sun.

It brightened up after I wrote that.
We had a sunny afternoon but rain came in later, at 20:00 it was raining steadily and still the same this morning. The glass is steady on 1010mb. The forecast is basically for rain all day. The constant SW wind is brisk and gusts to 35mph giving a high of 12C and a low of 5C with a -3C wind chill all day. The outlook is for brighter colder weather but dry.
05:44. I haven't been for a walk, it's still raining and it's significant rain. Avoiding it could be the story of the day.

Yesterday it rained..... at 20:00 it was still raining, significant wetting fine rain. First thing this morning it was dry and almost calm, we had broken cloud with moon and stars showing. It's still dry but I think we have more cloud now. The glass is up on 1016mb. The forecast is for a dry overcast day gradually clearing all day so some sunny intervals. The moderate west wind gives a high of 7C and a low of 3C with a -4C wind chill most of the day. High pressure is moving in so the outlook for the next six days is similar to today, dry and even brighter but about the same temperature and colder nights.
06:00. It's still calm and dry and the sky has cleared, looking good for the morning!
