We had an overcast day yesterday, but quite pleasant. Today bright sunshine in a cloudless sky, the makings of a good day.

Yesterday afternoon was cloudy and at 20:00 no sun and a very light wind. First thing this morning it was calm, dry and clouded and has not changed. The glass is down on 1020mb. The forecast is for the cloud to clear and we are promised a day of full sun. (This could be a west coast forecast and we could get the eat coast version which will be cloudier.) The constant moderate NE wind gives us a high of 18C and a low of 9C with a -2C wind chill this afternoon. The outlook is for similar weather, very settled.
05:31. The cloud is clearing and we have a good moon!

Yesterday we had a cloudy afternoon and that wind was cool. At 20:00 it was still cloudy but calm. First thing this morning it was calm, dry and cloudy. It is still the same. The glass is steady on 1020mb. The forecast is for it to start cloudy but then improve to sunny intervals. The light wind starts as NW and by mid morning is NE. The gives us a high of 18C and a low of 8C with a -1C wind chill. The outlook is for exactly the same weather.

Yesterday stuck to the formula, a cloudy afternoon and a cool breeze, Just right for walking round Clitheroe! At 20:00 it was the same, cloudy, cool and dry. We had a clear sky first thing this morning, dry and cool with a good moon and it hasn't changed. The glass is up on 1024mb. The forecast is for full sun all day. The light NE wind becomes NW this afternoon and increases slightly giving us a high of 19C and a low of 10C tonight with negligible wind chill. The outlook is for similar weather but no heat wave!

Yesterday was a rerun of the day before but warmer, even so it was a chilly wind when the sun went in. At 20:00 it was calm, dry, cloudy and cool. This morning first thing the sky was clear, we had a good moon, it was calm and cool. I've just looked out and no change. The glass is on 1024mb, unchanged since yesterday. The forecast is for sunny intervals for most of the day but overcast this afternoon. The constant NE wind is light and becomes moderate this afternoon giving a high of 17C and a low of 10C tonight with a -2C chill this afternoon. The five day outlook is for uninteresting overcast but dry weather. Sorry!

The sun never got out yesterday and it was a good job I had my A2 jacket on or it would have been too cold to sit in the wind opposite the bookies. At 20:00 it was chilly and overcast. First thing this morning it was calm, dry, cloudy and cool and this hasn't changed. The glass has leapt up to almost 1025mb. The forecast is for a dry, cool overcast day. The constant NE wind is moderate and gives a high of 16C and a low of 11C with -2C wind chill this afternoon. The five day outlook is still for similar boring weather! Will September bring us an Indian summer?

There was very fine rain at 11pm in Colne last night, it didn't last long 15 minutes at most. We sat outside The Admiral Lord Rodney watching middle offspring singing with Overload. https://www.facebook.com/overloadburnley/

Yesterday it was cool on bookie watch again. At 20:00 it was overcast, cool and calm. First thing this morning it was the same but a spatter of light rain. I've checked and it's still the same but dry. (The cloud must be heavy, it's blocked the moon completely.) The glass is up a shade on 1027mb. The forecast is for a dry overcast day, no sun. The constant NE wind is moderate giving a high of 17C and a low of 11C with as much as -3C wind chill this afternoon. The outlook is for similar boring cloudy weather. It looks as though this blocking high is going to deny us any excitement as we move into September tomorrow.

Overcast and intermittent light rain since we got here. Chucked it down for a couple of hours through the night (2am-3am). 13-15 degrees here. Snug in the tent though. 1035mb which should be dry weather.

Well thank goodness that's August over with. What with the (forecast) heatwave at the end of the month, and the fact that it was said by the Met Office, to be the hottest since records began - I feel fortunate to have survived.

Today looks like a re-run of yesterday but with a cooler outcome. At 20:00 last night we had light rain, this morning it's dry and calm, clouded over and cool. The glass is up again on 1030mb. The forecast is for the cloud to break perhaps in the late afternoon. The constant moderate NE wind gives us a high of 16C and a low of 11C tonight with a -2C chill this afternoon. A2 Leather jacket for bookie watch. The outlook is for similar weather. We seem to be moving seamlessly into September and meteorological autumn. Goodbye Summer 2021!

Adelaide
First day of Spring today and a lovely 26C.
Thurs - Severe and dangerous winds are forecast with 28C.
Fri - 90% chance of rain with 15C.

Still above 1035mb here and cold this morning, rained until about 10am but is now clearing and warming up a bit. Forecast has it warmer and predominantly fine for the next couple of days, here's hoping. I don't like packing up in the wet it just causes more hassle drying the gear out when you get home.

Yesterday afternoon relented eventually and gave us a little sun but it was cold in that wind. At 20:00 no change. First thing this morning it's cloudy calm and cool. The glass has fallen a touch to just below 1029mb.The forecast is for a a cloudy start and then sunny spells this afternoon. The moderate NE wind gives us 17C for a high and 11C tonight. A wind chill of -2C this afternoon and the five day outlook is unchanged. Not bad weather for a walk round Clitheroe Market this afternoon!

We got a few sunny spells yesterday but by 20:00 we were back in the cloud again. First thing this morning it's calm, dry, cool and cloudy. The glass is down on 1023mb and the forecast is for a dry cloudy day. The moderate east wind gives us a high of 15C and a low of 11C with a -2C wind chill this afternoon. The outlook is three more days of cloud and then three where we see the sun!

Yesterday was cloudy and cool all day. This morning we start with cloud calm and a light mizzle, it's cool enough to trigger the CH on low. The glass is down again on 1017mb. The one word forecast is cloudy. The constant moderate east wind gives us a high of 15C and a low of 12C tonight with a -1C wind chill all day. The outlook promises us a rapid improvement starting tomorrow and a tropical 25C next week.....
