It's stopped raining here in Foulridge, still very gloomy though. Another hour before I finish work and I need to go and pick up P from her sister's, I hope it doesn't rain again as I can't be bothered to change my slippers :biggrin2:

The rain did eventually stop yesterday afternoon. At 20:00 it was breezy cool and dry with broken overcast. This morning it's still dry, cool and overcast with a light breeze. The glass has jumped back up to 992mb and is rising. The forecast is for an overcast but dry day with the cloud breaking this evening. The wind is mainly a moderate NW and gives a high of 10C and a low of 5C with a -3C chill. The outlook for the next five days shows only marginal improvement. As Stanley Unwin would have said, Deep Joy!

We've had the odd spatter of rain Gloria. Just been for a walk, odd spots of rain in the air and two shafts of sunshine, very brief! It's far colder than it should be. Only a week to go to Flaming June.

Yesterday we got sunshine at about 16:00. At 20:00 we had a clear sky with the moon overhead and to the south in full sunshine. This morning there is some light cloud but still many stars, cold and dry. The glass is up again on 1002mb and steady. The forecast is for a cloudy day and rain from noon onwards. The wind is a brisk southerly gusting to 35mph at times and giving a high of 10C and a low of 6C with a wind chill of as much as -4C at times. The outlook for the next five days is for slightly brighter and warmer weather but no summer weather!

It's looking gloomy down here in the town so far. The cloud has firmed up and now it's a genuine 100% cloud cover.

It’s just been doing a light drizzle and now it’s sun shining. Don’t think it knows what it’s meant to be doing.

I read yesterday someone said his calendar was five months slow. It showed May, but the weather said October. In contrast I read that Moscow has had its hottest May day for 90 years.

Yesterday the rain arrived on time at 16:00 in Barlick. At 20:00 it was breezy cool and raining. First thing this morning it was still breezy and cool but the rain had stopped and we only had 25% cloud cover. The glass is down on 993mb. The forecast is for broken cloud and sunshine and showers until 17:00. The constant SW wind is moderate and gives us a high of 11C and 6C tonight with a -3C chill at times. The outlook is for a similar day tomorrow but then, glory be, rising temperatures!
06:00. Just had a short walk on a cool morning. The wind is cold and there is enough cloud coming up from the south to block the sun up to now. Not an encouraging start!

Yesterday was more rain shower than sun. At 20:00 it was breezy and raining. This morning first thing it was clouded and raining, I've just looked out and it has stopped raining but is wet and cold with a north wind and breaking heavy cloud. The glass is up on 1003mb and rising slowly. The forecast is for a cloudy start and by 10:00 we will have showers and sunny intervals for the rest of the day. The forecast says the wind is westerly at the moment but it lies, our clouds are definitely coming from the north. We are promised a moderate WNW wind later, gusting to 30mph. (I think we have it already) giving a high of 12C and a low of 5C tonight with a wind chill of as much as -3C this afternoon. The outlook is for dryer and warmer weather. We have a full moon tomorrow. I think today deserves a sun dance, I shall cut my hair.
06:00. I have shaved my head, done the Sun Dance and had a short walk under a heavy overcast with a cold wind. No sign at all of the sun. I can do no more, it is up to the weather gods now.

Today is our wettest day in 3 months and we are being blown away... it’s treacherous out there.

Just a shower or two tomorrow and 16C.
I know I'm in my own little world, but it's OK... they know me here. :)

Same here Gloria, depressing weather.
Yesterday was overcast and cold and at 20:00 it was raining. First thing this morning it is cool dry and we have a clear sky but with some scattered light cloud. The glass is up on 1009mb. The forecast is for a bright start and then overcast turning to rain by 9AM. The constant WNW wind is light to moderate and gives a high of 12C and a low of 5C tonight with a -3C wind chill at times during the day. Tomorrow is the first of the warmer days, look for higher teens from now on. Meanwhile, wrap up well today!

Yesterday afternoon was a succession of showers, we had one at 20:00. First thing this morning was different, clear, calm, dry and not as cold as it has been. The glass is up on 1014mb. The forecast is for an overcast but dry day with a few sunny intervals. The wind is light and variable but mainly SSW giving a high of 17C and a low of 9C with minimal wind chill. The outlook is slightly cooler tomorrow but then getting into some warmer days during the next five days. Things are looking up!
