Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Haggis and veggies for breakfast and tea. I extended the veggies by adding Haggis, fried tomatoes and green and red peppers. Really good mix and I enjoyed it. I did a spot of veggie shopping to reduce the load from the Co-op this morning.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Still in the making but it will be Jersey Royal Potatoes, cheese, onion and bacon quiche with side salad. Ready for it

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Meatballs, in the remains of the sauce I made for the shredded topside we had the other day, accompanied by savoy cabbage and broccoli with smoked bacon lardons (another pot of leftovers from the freezer). It went down very well a bottle of banana bread beer.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Are Jersey Royal potatoes as good as they used to be?
I had chicken and veggies for breakfast and tea. The new cooking, mainly cabbage and broccoli at the moment, other candidates will be added today.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Well they tasted alright to me and went down very nicely with a bit of butter on them.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
A couple of small pieces of home made focaccia, cheese, olives, tomatoes, a bit of green and a glass of Chenin Blanc. Strawberries and clotted cream for pudding, that'll put my blood glucose levels up. I'd best go for a walk before bed.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Ian, I asked about Jersey Royals because a mate of mine was telling me only the other day that he was disappointed with them. I haven't tried any.... (of course!)
I was a good lad, I had chicken and veggies X two for breakfast and tea. I got the roast and spices just right on the chicken this week.....

Sea bass fillets, king prawns, chorizo, a small boiled new potato and peas cooked by P for lunch. All ingredients from Aldi, went down very well.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Sounds very healthy Kev..... I switched the deep fat fryer on and cooked some sweet potato chips and chopped peppers then added that to the veggies in the fridge. That's the end of extending for this week....

I stripped the chicken carcass yesterday and added the meat to the veggies so that's the next two days taken care of. Chicken and veggies X two for Breakfast and Tea.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Today is the last of the chicken and veggies. I fancy a change, perhaps I should take time out and read the books Wendy brought me on low carb cooking.....

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Very tempting but I shall be strong....
I have no veggies cooked so had a scotch egg with baked beans for breakfast and another with peas and onions roasted with the chicken for tea.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Not quite what might be described as 'dainty' but I'd certainly settle for one.
Odd isn't it - I'd never dream of putting lettuce and tomato on a bacon butty (don't be silly) but whenever I've bought one I've enjoyed it.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I've never used a fried egg for icing a cake.....
I had 3 fried eggs, sausage and tomatoes for breakfast then had a big veggie cook up and had the rest of the sausages with veggies for tea.
