I haven't, not been in Barlick for a while. I only saw the Mario's one on Facebook.

It is indeed. They're very sparse with information though, certainly not giving a lot away. I wonder if it's a DDOS attack.

Word on the street is an upgrade has gone wrong and deleted Facebook's DNS records, the people who can fix it are working remotely so can't access the system. Those who are physically located near the servers don't have the required access to fix them. Oops!

Hooray. Facebook is down. What will all those people do who spend hours accessing it? It's banned, and not easily available in China, as is Instagram and WhatsApp. Hooray. Couldn't have happened to a better site! :biggrin2:

23.10 BST.

It'll be a disappointment for you China, but it seems to be back and fully functional again. Hope that doesn't spoil your day.

Indeed. You may not like these sites Graham but regardless of their faults m any people rely on them. I use Whatsapp to communicate with my family and didn't experience any problems up to logging off at 15:00 and it's on parade this morning.
News later this morning in the Times that only 27 drivers have applied to come to the UK on temporary visas.
Boris Johnson has mentioned a figure of 127 drivers which automatically makes you think the Times got it wrong. But if you listen closely Johnson's 127 is the number of names the haulage company's have put up as people who could be approached as they had worked here in the past. Not quite the same thing as thousands of drivers flocking in.

...and Boris is claiming the low number is evidence that other countries are suffering a shortage of drivers and not just something that's affected us because of Brexit.

At the end of the day they're all free applications for the vast majority of end users.

There's no free lunch with these sites! They collect and use your data. If you are happy with that then it is OK.
I have one stepdaughter who spends hours on FB but is always complaining that she never has enough time to get things done!

A mobile farrier, very impressed, I couldn’t stop watching it. Very calm horse too and not bothered by any of the noises.
I know I'm in my own little world, but it's OK... they know me here. :)

Interesting demonstration, but I have never seen anything so overdone! He trimmed that foot very hard back expecially the frog, which should act as a shock absorber. I was hoping there would be some explanation of why he needed to do that.

The title did say it was a remedial shoeing.
What attracted my attention this morning was that I ordered a box of my blue Vinyl gloves and noted that what cost £8 a box of 100 18 months ago now costs £18. I'm open to persuasion that there is no profiteering here but if anyone tries it they'll have to work very hard!

See THIS BBC report on the current state of the pig farming industry.
In case you hadn't noticed, the pig industry is in desperate straits. Healthy animals are having to be be slaughtered and burned on farms as the abattoirs are not taking them and farmers can't afford to feed them. It's no exaggeration to say that this could be the end of pig production as we know it.
There is also the wider point that the governments inactivity, PM Johnson even made a joke about 'pigs dying' this week, looks like an attempt to boost the import of cheaper food to alleviate the effects of inflation. We already import 0ver 60% of our food. How secure is this policy in an increasingly volatile world?

They have to stun pigs with CO2 but we have a shortage of the gas.

The video in this article is worth watching through to see the operation of the equipment used to drill and collect the rock sample on the Moon. Well done China!
