Haggis and veggies for breakfast and tea. I extended the veggies by adding Haggis, fried tomatoes and green and red peppers. Really good mix and I enjoyed it. I did a spot of veggie shopping to reduce the load from the Co-op this morning.

Meatballs, in the remains of the sauce I made for the shredded topside we had the other day, accompanied by savoy cabbage and broccoli with smoked bacon lardons (another pot of leftovers from the freezer). It went down very well a bottle of banana bread beer.

Are Jersey Royal potatoes as good as they used to be?
I had chicken and veggies for breakfast and tea. The new cooking, mainly cabbage and broccoli at the moment, other candidates will be added today.

A couple of small pieces of home made focaccia, cheese, olives, tomatoes, a bit of green and a glass of Chenin Blanc. Strawberries and clotted cream for pudding, that'll put my blood glucose levels up. I'd best go for a walk before bed.

Ian, I asked about Jersey Royals because a mate of mine was telling me only the other day that he was disappointed with them. I haven't tried any.... (of course!)
I was a good lad, I had chicken and veggies X two for breakfast and tea. I got the roast and spices just right on the chicken this week..... :biggrin2:

Sounds very healthy Kev..... I switched the deep fat fryer on and cooked some sweet potato chips and chopped peppers then added that to the veggies in the fridge. That's the end of extending for this week....

Today is the last of the chicken and veggies. I fancy a change, perhaps I should take time out and read the books Wendy brought me on low carb cooking..... :biggrin2:

Not quite what might be described as 'dainty' but I'd certainly settle for one.

Odd isn't it - I'd never dream of putting lettuce and tomato on a bacon butty (don't be silly) but whenever I've bought one I've enjoyed it.
