Went to the Anchor at Salterforth for lunch today with Paulette, eldest offspring and daughter in law. A nice leisurely walk, some good food and a walk back home. Sat down having a brew now, doubt we'll need much for tea.

I had chicken and veggies twice for breakfast and tea. I cooked belly pork yesterday so I shall not starve. :biggrin2:

I shall be pie making today. I slow cooked some stewing beef on Saturday and had a portion for tea then with mash and carrots. I popped what was left in the fridge. We were out for Mothers Day tea at our Carla's last night. Pulled pork, crushed and roasted garlic potatoes and mixed salad, very tasty, Sally had a veggie option. I will make some pastry today and blind bake the bottoms, boil some spuds and fill with the beef and potato, pop some lids on and freeze them down for future use. Any spare beef I will have for my tea.

Sounds nice.... pie crust and spuds are verboten under the new regime..... Pity, I love my pies!
I had belly pork and veggies X two for breakfast and tea. I grilled some sausages for snacks when hunger got the better of me between meals...... (I want to lose weight but I'm not going to torture myself. I have given up enough!)

Tonight will be bacon wrapped chicken, roasted red spuds and baked asparagus.

I found some lamb lurking in the freezer so I'm planning to make some Gyros in a day or two.

I made myself a home made chicken curry, my own spice mix. Went slightly overboard with the chilli powder though, it was definitely a "neck warmer" :extrawink: Not inedible in any way but nicely up in the fiery scale. I froze the remainder for another day but added a small tin of coconut milk to calm it down a bit. I find they always get hotter after freezing and recovery.

Chicken and veggies for tea. Then, just for a change, I cooked a very small prime rib steak and had it with fried tomatoes, 2 eggs and veggies for tea. Nice change.

The meat off a mutton shank with veggies for breakfast. During the day I completed the cooking of the mutton and by teatime had Mutton and peas with veggies.
