WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Steak and chips
I bought three ribeye for me,mum,n me aunt. turns out my aunt got chance to see her daughter so she went there for lunch. This such unfortunate event saw the dogs making inroads to the spare portion!
Cooked the cut to absolute melt in the mouth perfection. I now have two very content border terriers filled with a £2.50 tea in their bellies a piece.Half a ribeye each with chips ive used to mop up the jucies from the chopping board make a very handsome dog and human tea
Christmas done for me. No gifts, just full bellies and warmth of a roof over our heads. We are in the lucky ones that take it for granted

Just about right Christian. Glad you had a good day, thanks for posting, I was thinking about you only yesterday.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
A slice of stand pie with plum tomatoes and gherkins for dinner. (I gave Jack the thick part of the pastry) Tea was the mutton chop and veggie casserole I made before Xmas, one of Julie's mince pies with cream for pudding.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Same as yesterday actually, Jack got the thick crust off the stand pie and I had the last of the casseroled Mutton and veggies for tea. The last of Julie's mince pies with cream for pudding!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I fear I will have to do some veggie cooking. One of the surprise items in Kathy's wrap up was 'Chicken Bombay'! I don't know what it is but I shall give it a go.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Would it surprise you to hear that I knew that and did it? Didn't enlighten me much, it was all about adding fresh herbs.... I have converted it into a curry flavoured veggie stew. Looks good and initial taste is good and this will improve.
(Just had half an hour of veggie preparation, they are cooking now....)

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Salmon for tea last night with lots of veg, followed by Christmas pud. We still have several portions left. Liver and onions with mash potatoes and veg tonight, followed by, guess what, Christmas pudding. We don’t normally eat puddings!
If you keep searching you will find it

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Salmon with sprouts and cauli for tea today, a bit odd but a dollop of coleslaw pulled it all together!
Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Been to the Four Elephants for a bit o' curry. Not the cheapest but very nice. I had South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken with Sag Paneer as a side, 'er indoors had the Chicken Balti Massala and a Mushroom Bhaji. We had the Elephant Sharing Platter to start and a pint of Kingfisher each, all very enjoyable.
Back home now for a pot of tea

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Small slice of stand pie and baked beans... crust to Jack. The Bombay Chicken and veggies had come on song at teatime. Very nice indeed!

From what I see of your forecast, no cooking sounds like the way to go! We have reports of 43C being forecast for Melbourne.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
We are lucky, living coastal. Fresh, cool, sea breezes came through about an hour ago. We opened up the entire house. The curtains were touching the ceiling. Instant cool down! ( anything not held down went flying...my print outs from Ancestry will take some sorting tomorrow...some came down the stairwell)

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Eggs for breakfast and then tea with the family at Burnley. Susan cooked rice, chilli veggies and a mild chicken curry, I had all three mixed together.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I oven roasted a pile of Mediterranean Veg, cooked some Meatballs, then made a fantastic Pizza.
It was yum, but I couldn’t eat all my half. That is good...a wedge left for (?) breakfast maybe...

Drain them, cut them in half, add veg/cheese and cook on a Pizza Base Stanley.
