A portion of chilli from the freezer, still got 2 pots left. It always seems to taste better second time around.

Yes, I agree Kev, things like stew always improve with age..... Pity it doesn't apply to humans!

Not planned tea yet but lunch will be a camping favourite. Bratkartoffeln mit Schiñken & Zwielbeln or fried potatoes with ham and onions. We'll pop a bit of double Glouster on the top when cooked and finish it under the grill. Sally has popped to the local shop for a bit of nice bread and the black pepper we forgot to bring with us!

Two eggs for breakfast, sausage and Lancashire cheese for lunch with Rocket and onion salad and chips. Tea was cold sausage, Olives, spiced garlic cloves and Feta cheese. As you can see Clitheroe Market was a success!

Entertaining this evening, we have friends around for tea so I'm going tapas style. Spicy chicken, garlic chilli prawns, sausage with cherry tomatoes, chorizo in red wine, mini new potatoes with smoked lardons and spring onions, baked peppers with cream cheese, salad leaves to keep it healthy and some tzatziki and hummus with pitta bread to dip. Nearly forgot the olives. There may well be wine, beer and a jug of prosecco and cranberry juice to wash it down. I am also making a lime cheesecake with a ginger nut biscuit base. I don't think they'll go home hungry :biggrin2:

That sounds like a very good restaurant menu!
I had the last of the casseroled steak, the sausage and the veggies X two for breakfast and tea. Brown's delivered last night so I think we will survive the weekend.

Bought a two pack of sirloin steak from Aldi for tea yesterday, two minutes each side in the cast iron griddle pan then 3 mins in the oven. They went down well with Portabella mushrooms, corn cobs, grilled beef tomatoes and peas. Washed it down with a South African Pinotage. Off out to The Wharf at Foulridge (formerly Cafe Cargo) for tea and entertainment this evening, local singer Josh Hindle is 'doing a turn'.
