There are many alternatives under development Cathy. Have a look at this link...
`Top 10 Eco-friendly Substitutes for Plastic' How Stuff Works

On a very different subject - you'll all have heard about the plight of the Uighurs in China. The Chinese leaders try to refute all the claims that they are being badly treated but now a document published by the Chinese has come to light in which they actually describe what the West has been accusing them of...

`'If the others go I'll go': Inside China's scheme to transfer Uighurs into work' LINK
`China's policy of transferring hundreds of thousands of Uighurs and other ethnic minorities in Xinjiang to new jobs often far from home is leading to a thinning out of their populations, according to a high-level Chinese study seen by the BBC. The government denies that it is attempting to alter the demographics of its far-western region and says the job transfers are designed to raise incomes and alleviate chronic rural unemployment and poverty. But our evidence suggests that - alongside the re-education camps built across Xinjiang in recent years - the policy involves a high risk of coercion and is similarly designed to assimilate minorities by changing their lifestyles and thinking. The study, which was meant for the eyes of senior officials but accidentally placed online, forms part of a BBC investigation based on propaganda reports, interviews, and visits to factories across China. And we ask questions about the possible connections between transferred Uighur labour and two major western brands, as international concern mounts over the extent to which it is already ingrained in global supply chains...'.

It would be interesting if we could come back in 200yrs time (with memories of today), to see what had changed and if humans were living cleaner and greener life’s, worldwide.

Guess what I came across today...
Brown paper shopping bags with handles at one of my local supermarkets.
Good for those shoppers that forget their canvas shopping bag.
They have had the paper ones for 2 weeks. 👍

Good, they used to be fairly common here until someone pointed out the pollution involved in making brown packing paper....
See THIS BBC report of 'teaser' excerpts being released before the full Oprah Winfrey is aired.
Do I detect a whiff of Kardashian style media manipulation? I think the Sussex pair are hell bent on publicity and 'celebrity' status. Pathetic....
Later, it becomes obvious that open war has broken out between the Sussex lot and the palace. Am I right in thinking that this is Meghan wearing the trousers and giving Harry his orders? I suppose it will be used to try to distract us from real news......

How can you be a real celebrity without a name? When she got married to Harry Windsor she became Mehgan (Anonymous) choosing not to have a last name. This may hold for those amongst us who like to live in never never land, Lady of the Lake and all that, but she must have signed some name to get into America. Time to get done with all this puffed up status and get back to Mr & Mrs.

The reports of Meghan treating her staff badly reminded me so much of an American 'lady' I worked for briefly at Stone Gappe in Lothersdale. She drove one after the other of her staff to walking out by treating them to her foul temper or just humiliating them in front of others. My turn came eventually when she left me with a ridiculously long list of pointless tasks she wanted doing which included cleaning the splashed paint off some wooden stepladders used for decorating. I found that the paint washed off so I used water instead of the turps which she told me to use and I received the full force of her unpleasantness. No one has ever treated me like that and I was straight out of the door. There is now a second Mrs McAlpine at Stone Gappe and I hear that she is very nice!

To add another twist to the Meghan & Harry story. The rules of Succession to the British throne are quite clear. If the Queen pops her clocks then it goes to the next in line but if she steps down (abdicates) these rules don't apply and its basically up to Parliament to decide who gets the job next. They could decide on Queen Meghan or at a push King Boris. Total nonsense from beginning to end. Off with their heads, all Alice in Wonderland stuff.

I encountered these people by accident when I visited Barnoldswick, so I take an interest.

Sadly I see that

" Flagcrackers of Craven Border Morris Side

The information on this website is no longer current"

That's a a shame. I googled and found a link which in fact shows the Brittania Coconut Dancers from Bacup, who withdrew from the 'Federation' rather than change their appearance. The Craven gang are there too. Does that mean they have yielded to pressure and folded or just parked up for a while?

Oh Dear. Got mixed up with clocking out and popping clogs.
Popping Clogs gives us Charles the turd.
Clocking out may be Queen Meghan the Anonymous.
