Could be related to being battered around the head for a living. Similar to the bogey man waiting for footballers who head the ball.

No kind of age though is it.

Tony Greaves. He always spoke out for the truth as he saw it even if it was uncomfortable. A good man.

Well - the inevitable has happened. My lovely neighbour 'The Poet' passed away at 4.30 this morning.

I am heart broken.

I was only thinking a few days ago that we hadn't had news of her in a while but put it down to lockdown. I assume she has been ill. Sorry to hear she has died David, I always thought what good friends you were and how much you enjoyed the dinners..

Click on the Waterlight link, and all will be revealed.

Having beaten breast cancer a few years ago, Clare had a brian tumour diagnosed last year. She had surgery (during the Covid) and there was some optimism, but the thing returned and she came home for palliative care. That was last September. We knew yesterday was inevitable since then.

I just spoke to Iain - the weekly ritual that I put the bins out and he brings them in has been maintained. Her wish to be buried in Cumbria seems to be possible, and will be organised. That's good.

Here's how I will remember her - The Laughing Poet next door.

That's nice David.... The video I mean of course. Nice that you are keeping up the connection with bin duties. These small things can be very important.

Expected, but The Queen must be devastated.
He died at home, they must have known it was his time.

Just read statements from Boris Johnson and Scott Morrison, I wonder how far in advance these statements were written.

Sorry Tripps about the loss of your neighbour, just had news of one of my acquaintances that he has been diagnosed with a brain tumour ( a good 10 years younger than me so thats worrying for his fairly young family)

Thanks for the kind remarks from you all. She always asked me how things were in Barlick.

They'll be in talks with Netflix and Oprah now, to dicuss how best to monetise the occasion. They get no pocket money now so It's essential. She'll be asking for a seat in the first carriage - owt else would be discriminatory I'm sure.

PS - It'll be interesting to see how they interpret the current Covid Funeral regulations. Funeral Rules

It was mentioned on the news just before we turned it off due to repetition that the palace was already discussing the options.

I like that they will ‘keep’ Prince Phillip’s body and when The Queen dies, they will be buried/entombed together.
Must be love 💕
