I thought I would watch the ITV 1 life review - I think it was recycled mostly from one they had done on one of his birthday or marriage anniversaries. But I had not noticed he was of Danish descent - though the later ITV News (think it was them) , went a bit wrong when they said he was not of Greek heritage - In fact he was born in Greece , so I think that might do enough, given that Greece itself in the modern era was a pull apart from the collapsed Ottoman empire.

The general consensus of those who follow these things seems to be that he is 7/8th Danish, 1/8th, German, 0 Greek.

No you're not David I am right there with you. I have never watched the programme largely because I saw the originals in Glasgow and Liverpool and saw the results, some of the worst injuries I have come across in a long and eventful life. The very name, 'Peaky Blinders' seems to trivialise what was so savage. Funny thing was that some saw the facial scars as badges of honour, rather like the Prussian duelling scars.

Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy are Two of Sally's equivalent that George Clooney is to some. Double bonus for her as they are both in the series, Cillian as the main man Tommy and Tom as Alfie Solomans both excellent at their roles. I'm wondering how the story line will handle Aunt Polly's storyline. Last series it was stacking up to potentially have her as a lead in the ongoing saga, now firmly in the realms of British politics rather than the gang wars. Tommy has already thwarted Oswald Mosley in the last series.

Helen Mcrory was also in the Harry Potter films but I digress. The 'Peaky Blinders' series is only loosely based on the Birmingham gang of the same name. It is violent in places but there are some good storylines.

I look my best in Oxford Bags. ☺ Never a fan, but their hits take me straight back to when I had just moved in with Col during the summer of 1975 and I was decorating our room with a coffee coloured paint listening to the radio. We only had a room in a shared house, a mattress on the floor and a cheap duvet and bedding bought on Chester Market. All brought back with Bye Bye Baby....
