Gosh Stanley, my two girls had several of those, they were brilliant. I haven't seen anything like that now. Great for little girls as the skirt never fell down round their rounded tummies

Back home, this invigilator doesn't know how to read a timetable, I'm not due in until tomorrow. In my defence another of our invigilating team made the same mistake and we both rocked up. Never mind, a morning constitutional with the walk there and back.

Lucy has posted a personal timetable of her mocks on fridge Ian. No doubt she'll be enjoying the pleasure of your company for maths and biology tomorrow...

From memory, just to prove it still works to some degree  , Lucy is about 8 rows up, 2nd row from the window.

Today's were the Science ISA's which are in the classrooms. Invigilator column was blank on our timetables, Doh!

Dead right Sue, It was brilliant and you should have seen the pleats swinging from the back as she walked. She got no end of comments.....

The dress is finished except checking its length. There will be a fitting tonight. I am very pleased with it. Claire and I took a basinc pattern and put our own stamp on it. It looks little like the picture on the pattern.

Mum always made my skirts & kilts with a bodice. Today i am making a trifle for our grandson-in-law's birthday, he was very disappointed when I did not make one at Christmas. When whipping the cream I realised my Kenwood hand mixer is almost 59 years old, my boss bought it for us for a wedding gift.

Erin had a fitting last night. The dress fits perfectly. Just got to hem it , press it and hang it up for the big day. This morning I have my recall appointment at the hospital. Let's see what he has to say.

Well, it goes from bad to worse. I turned up at the hospital to be told by reception that the hospital cancelled my appointment yesterday. No reason given and no one thought to inform me! I am very angry. So I receive a letter that has 10 errors , an appointment when I have already been signed off with no reason given, a worry that something may therefore be wrong and now a cancellation without reason or informing me. The patients advisory and liason service have been informed again !

You do know who Rochdale MP is don't you. Good old Simon Danczuk banished by the Labour Party, and a waste of space. I will wait to see what the PALS find out, they were good before chasing up the apology.

Sue' experience illustrates what bothers me most these days, the inability of most of our major organisations (both private and public) to carry out their tasks. I'm a strong supporter of the NHS but I see it being ruined by poor management - or should we say lack of management - on top of too little funding.

My experience is that most of the time they are admin errors. When I raised this once , I have forgotten who with, I was told a lot of the admin staff are agency staff or part time or temporary and errors are made because they never get to grips with the systems.i have to say the receptionist yesterday was very helpful, very polite and I know she has been there some time because I recognised her from previous visits over the years.

Poor lass Sue! I hate it when I realise that I have picked a bug up. Luckily it is very rarely a problem as I do not frequent busy places. I hope it gets over quickly and doesn't bother you too much.

First day off work on holiday. Plenty to do at home. A list to be started. The trouble is that I often do more than I ought and get little "me" time when holidaying at home.

It appears I have a throat infection rather than a cold, and here we are for a few days in sunny Iceland. Saw the northern lights last night, it's waterfalls and mountains today. It's quiet because I can't talk :laugh5:

As expected a supposed admin error. I have received yet another apology. It seems there were several admin errors related to my recent consultation at the hospital...
