No shed today, I shall do weekly shop at 07:00, have my breakfast and be back in bed early for second sleep. When I wake from that I shall scrub up and go to Clitheroe Market with Susan.
It's an away day.....

Morning

A dull dismal day, just like yesterday. In the morning we did a round trip to Oldham ( a job for the model engineers) , over to Ramsbottom to the art and craft shop for me and we sat in the cloud all the time. There was a hint of a breakthrough of the sky around Rawtenstall but it soon disappeared. In the afternoon I jigsawed, sorted out my art stuff for today and supervised the manure delivery. We use the same people every year so we had a long chat to them as well. They even asked what had happened to our Volvo. We had 22 bags of about 25 kg each, all spread on the soil by them. The extra two above 20 were free because it was us, that should stop the squirrels digging up my bulbs! .

Our garden was quite a busy nature reserve yesterday with at least 4 of the little monkeys in the garden at the same time. When I went out, to chase them away about 30 birds flew off as well. There were great tits, blue tits, a robin, a wren, dunnocks, blackbirds, chaffinch, sparrows even a rook plus the usual starlings, jackdaws pigeons and doves . I was quite surprised. Pilates in the studio went well, there were 4 of us. It was strange seeing the big screen with everyone else on it, about 16 I think .

This morning its art, and I am taking a neighbour with me. She is in the u3a art group and was interested in the class so is trying it out today. I used to know Paula years ago through the swimming club. She recognised me from the back of my head, asking me if I was Julias mum. She said she recognised the back of my head having seen Julia swimming up and down the pool for years! She was interested that she still swims as a Masters swimmer. This afternoon we are shaving a drive over to Fleetwood as Bob needs to collect some model engineering stuff from someone else. It will be late afternoon when we get back .

Have a good day all.

You've just reminded me Sue that I heard a BBC announcer this week talk about Fleetwood near Bradford and then completely missing the significance of the Fylde as a geographical area.
I've done me shopping, now for bed and then Clitheroe....

We did consider buying a bungalow in Cleveleys until we discovered the reason they were so cheap.

I got a surprise yesterday, Kahara turned up to join us and we tripped over some friends as well!
Today I shall be in the shed and than at the opticians for an 08:30 appointment. This is the one I completely forgot about! Bookie watch looks unlikely as today is forecast to be wet and windy.

Morning

That was a nice surprise Stanley, lovely photo too. We had a successful trip over to Fleetwood, well actually it turns out it was Poulton le Fylde. The weather was awful, as was the traffic. Everywhere I went yesterday I seem to be shrouded in mist and cloud. The visibility over Owd Betts was pretty poor and I went over that way 4 times in total yesterday. Today looks much the same although not as misty.

I have u3a art this morning, followed by the usual Friday lunch out, and that will fill my day. Have a good one.

It was a good surprise Sue and K was a delight. We will have another great grandchild inside the next month.
I've had an hour and a half in the shed and am due to have an eye test in less than an hour so I'm not sure when I'll be back....

A normal day, all shopping done. I shall be in the shed as usual and beyond that only one item stands out, I have a letter to post! It says something about the tenor of my life when posting a letter is a noteworthy event....
Bookie watch looks like a possibility, the forecast has some sun in it!

Morning

I think it is going to be a drier clearer day at last, having been misty and rainy for a week with no let up. The garden pond is overflowing into the bog garden, which itself looks like a mini stream. Its Bacup market this morning and I have an appointment around lunch time, so other than that I have no plans except u3a wine appreciation this evening. I hope to do the last bit of garden tidying in the back garden this afternoon.

Have a good day everyone.

Funny thing that, as I get older I drink less and less. I'm just about TT now. Not through any intention, it just happened....

This was where I finished up this morning. I have the bed milled parallel and all the flash cleaned off. It's ready for marking for the connecting bolts once I have cleaned the bed up and drilled the holes in it. Quiet careful and accurate work.... nice. That's my idea of a good morning. :biggrin2:

Forecast here is dry this weekend and then rain for the next 10 days. Lower% chance but no doubt it will be dry in Rochdale and we will be sitting in the cloud and drizzle
