Morning

Not a nice day yesterday. I did my tidying and a bit or art which I showed little enthusiasm for. Just before pilates I noticed my new filling had cracked so todays task will be to try and get a dental appointment. Our friend Kath is coming for a cuppa this afternoon and to collect some rhubarb and her geranium plant that has been in ‘Sues plant hospital,’ now recovered I think. This evening is pilates. Nothing much else to say, a day of rain is forecast for a change! What a wet May it has been. Next week is warmer but still wet , as is the week after according to the long range forecast

Have a good day

And it's obviously their fault! Sorry to hear you have to deal with that. I think we are on the cusp of better weather. I heard the forecaster this morning predicting that May will be one of the coldest and wettest on record. Mind you, I suppose we needed the rain.

I think you will all be able to guess where I'll be, in the shed and the rest of the time walking reading or sleeping....

The shed is suffering up to now this morning. It all started when I decided to scratch an itch I have had for a while. Clean the kitchen window inside and out. This is high risk when you are as bad at balancing as I am but safe enough if all precautions are taken. I'm happy to report the job is done and things look much brighter. This has triggered me to look at other cleaning that will be an improvement, the main ones being cupboard doors and the vinyl floor.
I am having a breather at the moment and will report later on.

Morning

Sounds like me, Stanley. If I start one cleaning/tidying job it leads to another and another. You will feel very virtuous afterwards.

My dental appointment went well. It was another dentist in the practice but she was very good . The offending tooth had split down the cusp, she removed the piece and put a temporary filling on. I have an appointment to see my own dentist on the 14 th June, after our short break in Norfolk to discuss future treatment, but there is no doubt the days are numbered for the tooth. Otherwise my friends visit was pleasant and it was an OK day if cool. It didn't rain despite the high % forecast. Today is supposed to be much improved but at the moment there is no wind and thick mist. We are meeting up with Wendy and Keith for lunch at the Shepherds Rest in Todmorden, after pilates this morning. There are no other plans for the day, but this evening I have a zoom chat with my old university friends Jean and Sue. I hope I remember, Sue and I both forgot last month.

Have a good day everyone

Last night was our turn for the Total Lunar Eclipse/Super Moon/Blood Moon.
I watched the moon move into and across earths shadow with a clear view, no clouds. Marilyn was watching (102 k’s away) with clouds. Then with-in just a few minutes, I was watching thru the clouds and Marilyn had a clear view.
We both really enjoyed it.
An hour or so later the moon was very bright with-in a very large halo, with a reddy halo ring around the outer edge. 😊
I know I'm in my own little world, but it's OK... they know me here. :)

Nothing as exciting as that Cathy. Like Sue we have a foggy morning. I haven't been for a walk or gone into the shed, I have been active in other ways. Sue was quite right, I got carried away. I've been cleaning.... Kitchen window inside and out, all cupboard doors and the fridge, mopped the floor with stable disinfectant. Things are looking a lot better but I have had to sit down to have a rest! The virtue hasn't kicked in yet :biggrin2: .

Have you noticed that whenever we have an expected eclipse or spectacular moon its cloudy or foggy and we see nothing! 🙁

The darn filling has cone out leaving one side of my tooth missing. No appointments till next Wednesday unless I can get an emergency one tomorrow. Is there any point if it is just going to come out again. No pain, just half a tooth missing. It came out whilst starting to clean my teeth.

You know what my cure is Sue.... :biggrin2: Hope you find a solution.
There will be no shed this morning. I have to do my early doors shop and decided to have another morning of domestic tasks. The duvet covers are in the washer as I speak and there will be vacuuming!

I’ve been wanting to clean behind my bed for a little while and I choose today to do it. I pulled out the bed and bedside tables then did a really good vacuum and cleaned the skirting boards etc.
I finished the room, but that’s it for today.
My back will appreciate the rest, and I’ll be able to carry on tomorrow.

I've just finished changing the duvet covers (They are spinning in the washer at the moment) and have vacuumed upstairs and down, That's quite enough honest endeavour for one day. Now for the C-op shopping!
07:40. Back in the hutch, shopping done and put away. First time this morning I can sit down and catch my breath before making my breakfast. Good stuff done this morning....

Morning

I should imagine the tooth will be extracted Stanley. Its upper back left so will hardly be visible. At least it is not causing any pain whereas it was painful from last Friday when the tooth cracked and dug into my gum.

Today is dance exercise followed by zoom art, so it will be a late lunch. I have no other plans for the day but am hoping it will be suitable weather to go for a walk this afternoon.

Have a good day

Definitely in the shed! I have missed two days because of essential housework but today I shall get serious. I'm contemplating a bit of quiet turning making a crankshaft. Then a normal day with as much exercise as possible.

Morning

A nice bright sunny morning at last. We had rain on and off all day yesterday, nothing heavy but enough to get wet. In the end we decided to just go for a walk and did a short one via the waterfalls to the lodge and back. I did a bit of garden tidying wearing my waterproof, tied in my sweet peas which are still struggling to grow and replaced one squash plant that had died, I do believe it had drowned!

This morning is Bacup market, we shall be buying a few bits for a BBQ tomorrow when Claire and family come over. Its probably a year since they were last here. I think this afternoon we may pop over to my brothers as he has a jacket for Bob. Otherwise it will be Monday. If we don’t go we shall walk and there is a vague chance my glasses will be ready so the walk may be in to Rochdale.

Have a good day, enjoy the fine weather
