I prefer Strepsils - anaesthetic and antibacterial- thanks Stanley. Not that they worked that well , when my throat was on 🔥.
I know I'm in my own little world, but it's OK... they know me here. :)

In the days before antibiotics salt or borax were the preferred treatments and in really bad cases, very dilute Milton disinfectant.

A sore throat is a symptom of an infection ie inflammation. The best remedy is something that soothes. Personally strepsils make me feel sick, as would a salt water gargle. I just drink lots of water , or a home made honey lemon drink....or simply suck a nice sweet my favourite being blackcurrant and liquorice sweets. A pain killer also helps to relieve the pain
If you keep searching you will find it

Even tho my sore throat is now gone , and I 🙏 it doesn’t come back, I’m still having the Strepsils because they sooth and calm the throat, after coughing fits.

Have received my Covid-19 test results- Negative 😊. Still in isolation with viral tonsillitis until the 27th. Will check with my doctor then to see if I’m allowed OUT. 🤪
I just feel like I have a cold now, but still coughing.

Good news on the Covid, tonsillitis isn't fun though. Hope you feel better soon.

In the days when I was born they ripped them out as routine when you were only weeks old. Lots of controversy about it in later years but I have to say that I have never had Tonsillitis and only very occasionally a sore throat.

I used to get tonsillitis when I was a kid and they used to give medicine that was like a pink milkshake. It was really good stuff.
Unfortunately for me it was the same time that they decided not to remove tonsils anymore.

Yes that’s what we are thinking 🙁.
Just wondered if maybe Graham’s wife or family might have informed anyone.
I guess the chances are that they don’t know about OG.

Unfortunately I think Wendy is right. I don't think Graham's wife is very fluent in English and probably has no dealings with OneGuy to avail us of any information.

Human case of bird flu detected in the UK
BBC https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-59896821
I dont know the best way to keep birds, I suspect have twice as much space as you think you need and regulary clean one half of the space entirely, move birds, clean the dirty side, might be a bit difficult on the external daytime space. I think if visting another bird keeper I would wear a different change of clothing and boots to those worn in ones own holding.
