That's what I thought Tiz.
I note the number of converts to the MMR jab all of a sudden.

This has up to date and useful information on the latest results from China...
`Coronavirus: Largest study suggests elderly and sick are most at risk' LINK
It has a dialog box labelled `Can we answer your question on the coronavirus?' so out of curiosity I typed in the following:
Is it known how long Covid-19 survives on surfaces such as supermarket trolley handles? And are supermarkets cleaning their trolley handles or providing disinfectant wipes as in Australia? I then clicked on the spyglass symbol but nothing happens and I can't find any way to submit the questions!

My hubby had a triple bypass over 10 years ago and has FIVE stents, including an Aortic Arch Stent, which was extremely difficult to place and “touch and go”. He is in good health.
Have I replied to the wrong topic? ( oh dear). I was reading something on here about stents and now it seems to have evaporated. Taken away? Removed?

It's in the Attention thread on this link, Maz: LINK I put it there because I'd written about coronavirus on this thread. But here it is again...
This caught my attention today because our neighbour opposite has just told us he's got a problem and asked us to hold a key for his house in case of emergency. He had a stent fitted a few years ago and has been healthy, going to the gym each day even though he has poor mobility, but suddenly his heart is failing again and he has a worrying wait for treatment.

I lose a couple each day Maz.....
Time flies, it's time again to book for the annual big diabetes clinic. They do a check every six months but then annually they include foot sensitivity and blood flow. It's annoying but good to know they are looking after me.

Wendyf wrote: 31 Dec 2019, 10:08 The Latanaprost drops are remarkably effective Tiz. The pressure in my eyes was 27 in the left eye and 36 in the right, the drops have brought it down to 18 in both eyes. They have given me dry eyes so I'm now putting in drops for that.
Mrs Tiz went for her eye check yesterday and the readings were 17 left, 16 right compared with the 30th December when they were 25 and 20. She had some slight itchiness but not enough to warrant extra treatment. A good result, especially in such a short time.

Just picked up on Facebook that Colin (Nolic) has had a Mini Stroke a few days ago. He was in Airedale for treatment but has been discharged now. I have wished him a speedy recovery of course.

The WHO is worrying about the sudden appearance of Covid_19 virus in mother countries around the world, in people who haven't been to China or had contact with those who have been there. I'll offer my opinion on the origin of the virus in these cases. So-called bushmeat exported around the world. Meat from wild animals such as reptiles, amphibians, birds, pangolins etc. It's a long established trade, illegal but now much easier via the internet connections. And now it's become trendy too.

Could be Tiz, we can rule nothing out. What interests me is the places that aren't reporting any cases, most notably Russia. I smell a rat!

Of course another possibility to explain the sudden wide spread of infections is terrorist activity - bio-warfare.

bio-warfare. A bit pointless unless you have a vaccine or antidote. I'm inclined to blame aeroplanes and tourism. Constantly recycling air that has been used countless times almost guarantees spreading respiratory infections. Nobody will shut their air transport down, too much money involved. Notice that those countries which rely on tourism are keeping very quiet.

This free course from Futurelearn is very timely. plagues and pandemics

Learned yesterday why a declaration of 'epidemic' or 'pandemic' by the W.H.O is important. Seems it excuses the insurance companies from paying out claims made under travel insurance.
