Descendant of Joseph KING of Salterforth

Post by Robindad »

I am returning to my roots in Barnodlswick and area after some years (see old site archive)

My great great grandfather was Joseph King (1808 - 1890) of Lane Ends Salterforth. I am descended from his first wife Nancy BERRY.

SO have a great interest in the KING and BERRY families.

My father Frank KING 1909 -1985 was proud of his heritage

Re: Descendant of Joseph KING of Salterforth

Post by Robindad »

Thanks Stanley. You were a great help some years ago..... I’ descended from Joseph King of Lane Ends and his first wife Nancy Berry.

Currently looking into the men of The Northern Cavern and Fell Club and their origins. My dad was a founder member in December 1928. His diaries mention Frank Windle of Barnoldswick many times. FW is listed as a member. Have started a specific thread for Frank Windle
