Just one small correction.... Not my site, it's just that I post a lot! Tell us who you are, anything to do with the old gang?

I found this site by accident some years ago and I thought it was Stanley's, it kept me occupied for many hours in quite times between customers etc.
when I worked for a Jaguar dealer in Nottingham,I found the posts on steeplejacks and demolition contractors fascinating especially the ones regarding Norman at N&R great stories.

Last year we were in Heptonstall and I mentioned the steeplejack threads to the new owner of the White Lion (cracking pub will worth a visit) in the village and he knew I think his name is Ronnie Coggins the 'jack who lost his leg in bike accident and still carried on 'jacking.

I know live in the Peak District but often go walking around Saddleworth etc.

All the best and stay safe,
Roger.

That'll be Young Ronny Goggins. Here he is on Mons at Todmorden.

And here's his dad on the left after felling Jubilee chimney at Padiham. Robert Aram, Mary Hunter and Norman Sutcliffe complete the line up.
