I have a bit of a problem with 'Season's Greetings' this year. Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year' sounds a bit hollow when you consider how bad 2021 is going to be for a lot of people.
So I wish all of you and yours the best that you can get out of this Xmas and New Year season. As for 2021, good luck to all of us!

I just got a (rare) ring of the door bell. A very nice lady had brought me a Christmas goody bag and placed it on the doorstep, then stepped back to a safe distance.

I was quite overwhelmed at her, and the village's kindness. There are probably about five thousand calories in it, but right now I don't really care.

Sobering and unworthy thought, that I am now in the list of people who get such things. The workhouse cannot be far away. :laugh5:

May I wish everyone on OGFB the best for Christmas and the new year, and thank you all for keeping me entertained, amused, informed, and sane. :santa2:

Merry Christmas to you all. Ours will be pretty much the same with the exception of youngest son's wedding on the 27th and the Christmas Day curry now a takeaway. At the time of typing the wedding is still on for the 13 guests. The wedding breakfast is being served in the hotel restaurant, at socially distanced tables, in household groups and photos will be mainly taken outside. The hotel is in a tier 2 area so at least we can eat indoors :biggrin2:

I'm pleading not guilty. It was the software - not me wot did it.

A few odd things have been happening lately. I think I've fixed some of them - including having to log in every time, even when I tick the 'keep me logged in' box. Looks like the browser was deleting cookies every time i logged out. I've changed that and it seems OK now.

PS. I hope you've all watched the Goes Wrong Show! LINK
The Goes Wrong Show team present their take on the nativity story, generously funded by a corporate sponsor after the BBC refused to pay for any more of the Cornley Dramatic Society’s work. As ever, all soon descends into chaos: an ingenious pop-up book set soon proves a physical danger to both cast and crew, the angel Gabriel develops a firework obsession, the actors inside a donkey have a terrible falling out that results in unnecessary nudity, and there is much more fire than anyone anticipated. In between, the greatest story ever told is told.
