I'm looking forward to more walks with Sally, we have a similar walking pace which is quite important, going faster or slower than your usual pace can be tiring!
I slipped and fell heavily at the start of my walk this morning on wet flags at the entrance gate to The Wharf, my usual trick of one foot shooting out infront and sitting down on the other leg doubled up underneath me. For a couple of moments I thought I might not be getting up again but once I had taken a few steps I was OK. I'm a bit stiff and sore now but it didn't spoil my very enjoyable walk.
There was hardly a soul out and about today!

Wet flags and a bit of moss can be a bone breaker Wendy. Glad you survived. That's a good total for the dogs, very well done.

It's November and I'm keen to try the 100 mile challenge again! This time I'm going to be raising money for Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue, a volunteer organisation who do a wonderful job rescuing injured folk from places inaccessible to the ambulance service. Just a small slip or stumble on my rambles and I could be needing their services. I'm donating a pound for every mile I walk through November but have set up a fundraising page incase anyone wants to chip in!

First few miles completed this morning after the heavy rain died down. There was quite a nip in the air!

I'm sure she will! I think we are heading up Weets so it's back to the leather boots again. Must give them a beauty treatment....

I thought it would be a good idea to head down from the hills for today's walk avoiding the full blast of the wind and rain! It wasn't too bad....

Good to see that Go Fund Me are waiving their commission as it's for a charity.

 Thanks Tripps! I was going to do an update tomorrow at the end of week one. I've reached 28 miles today and am hoping to get to total of over 30 for the week. Everything is working OK so far I'm pleased to say. :laugh5:
A big thank you to anyone who has donated to the charity so far, still three weeks to go though.

That's the first 7 days of walking done and a total of just over 31 miles. I just need to keep going!

I'm still walking, just reluctant to bore you with daily routes. I'm up to 56 miles now after a favourite walk this morning in the glorious sunshine. Col dropped me on Castle Road as he was heading into Colne and I walked along Cockhill Lane, past the now closed ford and up Cob Lane as far as Kelbrook and up the clough home.

It's a nice day out, Sunday is looking good too. What are they doing to the ford; do you know?

Only just noticed there's a Roger Moor alongside Kelbrook. Made me smile that :biggrin2:

I don't know what's happening with the ford Kev, it will be a major engineering job to make it fit for vehicles again. The walls and bankings around it were all rebuilt few years back. The road out of it heading up towards Noyna is getting all overgrown now.
Ah, Roger Moor, hiding away there pretending to be Kelbrook Moor!
